Autopsy Autopsy vs Richmond - the Zurhaar HBF game

Don't really mind who out of Dova or Spargo gets dropped, but I very much would like to see Konstanty come in and bring his defensive-forward pressure back to the table in this regard.
I just don’t think Dova is ready yet. Banch or Konstanty offer much more physicality and pressure

Was it Yze who didn’t want to interview for us? Can’t remember but if so, bullet dodged.
Every time we have a coaching spot free people fall over themselves to say they aren’t interested without being asked. Self promotion

Not sure Yze is it. Richmond spent alot if time flopping for free kicks. Is that instinctive or instructed?
Yeah it was a shocking look. Very poor coaching imo, it came off a bit cos of Sunday umpires but when the whole team's doing it it reeks of desperation and a coach out of ideas.

Great overall weekend for the club, with both teams banking big wins and everybody coming through unscathed.

Next week, with FOS and X coming back, the only potential current best 23 player not playing at some level will be Archer.

It feels like we have competition for spots now that we probably haven't seen for close to a decade. If we have a good run with injury, we are going to be putting out a seriously good VFL team.

Of course it wasn’t perfect but I really, really enjoyed that game today. On top of the VFL showing yesterday I’m feeling very happy and optimistic as a North supporter, and I love seeing more of our supporters coming to games and being genuinely up and about. Winning big and winning all four quarters was the benchmark today and that’s what happened. Yes there will be bigger tests but we played an ordinary side and we made them look ordinary all day. That’s quite a step forward.

I was a bit worried about this game because I thought it could end up looking like the Essendon game (comfortable but uninspiring win). It was nice to see us put Richmond away with a professional demolition job. The first half was a bit frustrating given their injuries, but I liked how we approached the second half by methodically putting them away in the third and hammering the win home in the fourth. I'm excited to see what next week looks like, it's about time we put away a tough side away from home. GWS have looked pretty bad at times this year, but their game against Sydney would've looked very different if they kicked straight. They're still a quality outfit afaic and it'd be a huge win for us.

Nice spot to be in to win by 75 points and feel like we didn't play our best and then you remember that we've got arguably 2 of our best 5 players to come in next week in Xerri and FOS, and some guys at VFL level really building some continuity and putting in some solid shifts.

A genuinely fun time to be a supporter of this club at the moment after what we've had to put up with.

It's going to be a huge 5 weeks leading into our bye - reckon I'd be happy going 2-3, with the GWS away, Sydney at home and Suns at home to be the ones I'd be eyeing off as games we could take.

Good performance

Camz great performance in a role he’s never played
PC great start and finish - good all day.
Backline combined well and covered off for each other
Sheez good - should of had 3 goals
George was everywhere

And I never want to see that waste of space Eleni on a footy field again / doesn’t make any decisions- should be sitting in the grandstand

Watching Richmond today was like watching us for the past 6 years. They were pretty bad however I'd take 3 flags for a decade+ of shitness. We did what is supposed to be done to a bottom team, an easy stress free thrashing. Glad we put them away properly and not a underwhelming 35 point win.
Overall apart from the WC 2nd half we've been pretty good this season. The nightmare is hopefully ending for us.

I can see us taking it right up to Geelong in a few weeks time.

They're arrogant, and just like port in round 1, they won't be taking us seriously. So if we play like the past 6 weeks anything can happen.

Good win. We expected it. Good to see quite a number of North fans at Marvel. Not sure if we outnumbered the Tigers fans but I would like to think we did.

Next week will pose a much bigger challenge at Manuka Oval. But confidence grows week in week out at the on-field performance being delivered. Big month of games :eyes: 📺.

I’m watching the replay now. Once again, I cannot understand where the hate for Tom Powell comes from. He’s not playing his best footy at the moment, I’ll grant. However, when/if we start going deep in finals, he will be there playing.
