Springvale should have kept clint as coach paying huge money for fa flat track bullies back in the day nothing's changedšŸ˜”
Springvale Doves very underwhelming on Good Friday as spoken about., Spending Pa-Lentyyyy but all the wrong types and the game at local level has transitioned from kick/ mark, got to be able to run and the Springy Doves simply don’t run or have the types who will run. May sneak 5th this season but their committee may aswell start head hunting a new panel early as it is reportedly Thompsons last year? Interesting month ahead but to lose to a very young Beena , smoke fire

Is all not good at McKinnon
Mate, can you for once just keep it shut. You keep reporting posts that tell everyone who you are, perhaps i can let a few from the club know who you are and see if you are as keen to talk about the club as you are on here?

Doggies will be fine, just need to get back to same kind of form they showed in the Chelt game round 1.

He’s missing a fair few players from last year
This.

Bevo is travelling.
Dolan recovering from ACL
Sam Hilton Joyce moved interstate
Matty O'Brien left to another league

That's 4 key players that would make a very big difference to this side. Bevo and Matty O were starting mid in 2025.

It's what i was told by a player and i know quite a few mate
Sent you a message . Nothing wrong with St Pauls

I see your mob lost by 140 points on the weekend bedford. Ouch! On that basis not sure why you are concerned about how St.Pauls are going.
Yes played an outstanding team in Parkdale , not a great start , both clubs should be in a new southern comp

We know this will never happen. Southern League travelling perfectly fine as is. District clubs in the VAFA on the other hand??

Parkdale and Beaumaris are very good and Hampton and Ormond on the next level , would be good though the ammos have no future for district clubs , you need an old Infront of your name
That's why i was calling St P's Mckinnon to gel with the community

Bit of myth that it’s all roses for the school clubs bedford. Plenty have folded or merged in recent times. Would be great for the SFL to land a bit dog from the ā€˜heartland’ such as Parkdale, Beaumaris, Hampton Rovers, Edi-Asp or Chelsea rather than the outer east growth corridor areas. Some clubs just don’t want the hassle of having to pay players and dealing with the club hopping mercenaries every year. Maybe that’s why Parkdale and Beaumaris left the SFL in the first place. Beaumaris have 3 X 19 sides and a massive junior program and potentially would dominate this league if they could offer up $. Don’t know much about the MPNFL but it seems to be going ok so don’t think any clubs looking elsewhere but VAFA seems to be at the crossroads. Some suburban clubs thriving while others are barely surviving. Mind you SFL not all roses either. Div. 1 clubs asking to be relegated and a widening gap between the haves and have nots. So many clubs still without U19s or a junior alignment which is not sustainable. I think your concept has merit but just can’t see it happening.

You sum it up perfectly

Ormond would start Division 3 I think.
Parkdale (C VAFA grade) flogged the SFL Div. 1 reigning premier in a practice match. Just my opinion but think Ormond would be a top team in Div 2. Would win Div 3 with a leg in the air. With the capacity to play players it would only make them stronger. Good U19s and established juniors helps make clubs viable. Ormond has both. However has been a long time since they could compete with Xavs, SKOBs, Uni Blue etc. Good fit for the SFL and about time they looked beyond the VAFA.

2 had a draw with Highett in the last praccy at Turner rd
Parkdale with Mitch Brown on fire could be better than any SFL team , but we will never know
Don't get too excited about MB, started well against Ormond the delivery to him was really good and he kicked straight, but needs to be able to do it against higher quality teams and also stay injury free which there is still a question mark ?

He moves well , hate to say it it was good to watch such a well drilled team
One of his coaches said it's amazing what some clubs are offering him in the South

Do said clubs want to play against the Southern Metro Clubs?
If not, it is a moot point.
If so, Bedford draw up a petition to AFL VIC, requesting a complete overhaul of Leagues and boundaries. If able to get enough signatures and clubs on board, can submit petition, forwarding to all sporting media outlets as well.

It's all in theory mate
It would be just common sense , some at VAFA clubs wouldn't even talk about it , but as they move on and younger people take over , who knows

All comps are at the crossroads IMO. Every comp has fat cat clubs and starving dog clubs. The gap between the haves and and have nots is widening in all comps - country and metro.
The only difference is the VAFA clubs have an avenue to change their operating structure by deciding to pay players. Metro comp clubs don't have that luxury.
As I have said on other forums, the problem for the VAFA is very average footballers are now getting paid to play. This is putting alot of pressure on the lower suburban clubs in the VAFA.
Recent example, Box Hill North who were in Div 6 in the VAFA, are now in recess and their players were getting offered $200 a game to play at Doncaster.....if this doesn't tell you something is out of whack, nothing will....

It's very sad , we lost 2 ressies players to a Div 3 side and getting paid
