Really don't know where this comes from? I'm stumped. Saad is one of the few who gives his all week in week out IMO.
Regularly chases down, tackles and breaks lines. Still pretty good for his age.

Did he wrong you?
Saad is regularly exposed off the ball. He's great when engage in a 1v1 contest. In fact, I'd say he's elite there. But it's when he's not directly in the contest that his man frequently exposes him. Essendon openly criticised him for it while he played for them, it's not exactly a new thing.

The melts if Bucks got appointed as our next head coach 😂

My priority in order are
  • Longmire
  • Hickmott
  • Kelly
  • Gia

I wouldn’t be against Bucks, I think he’s a good coach and I love how he has gone to Geelong. So wouldn’t be the worse option, but I’d be shocked since GW was the one to move on from Bucks at Collingwood.

Based on what? When did this "exposed off the ball" happen? Give us a few examples from the weekend so we can work out what that means.

7 proven professionals developed at other Clubs - Newman, Hayward, Florent, Cerra, Haynes, Hewett, Ainsworth. All made to look terrible.
To clarify. The only regretful exit from Sydney in that group was Hewett.

Hayward and Florent weren’t getting regular games in the 1s last year. And Newman is checks notes 33 years old

Hayward played 21 of a possible 23 last year and missed the other 2 due to injury in R21 and 22.

Have a look at the segment on First Crack

I did. One lame effort where he completely stuffed up is your evidence.

We get burned by this insane coaching which teaches our players to "zone off" 10m away from their opponents all the time when defending transition. Does my head in.

Haywood played 21 games for Sydney last year and just for a matter of interest; in his 7 games for us this year he has averaged far more possessions than any other year of his career but also far less goals.

What does that tell you about how we are playing him?

I have Will’s footywire profile page open before I read your post and instantly noticed that.

As another poster said, First Crack showed a couple. They have done multiple times a year on him because it happens so regularly. Listen to how they talk about him

Odd to lie about something that can be checked so easily

I've heard all about his VFL form, and his supposed burst speed, but the 'Ball Butcher Brigade' seems to be getting Louder, and I am REALLY concerned about it TBH.

I really love the sentiment of the Father /Son picks, and I'm sure he is a very good footballer, but I REALLY dont think we can afford to pick YET ANOTHER player without footskills. It's the inability to hit targets and turnover that have us where we are now.
Totally agree, look how the Campo boys are going.

We shouldn't be drafting ANYONE at this point who isn't at least a 'good' (ideally elite but understand they don't grow on trees) kick, father sons included. We just can't afford to with our current list composition. But seems like Cody is already a fait accompli, no matter how much draft capital we have to spend to get him :drunk:

Add to that the massive Points cost and I'm sure we we could be looking at someone maybe not as widely toubted, but a diamond in the rough...
Yep, looking like we'll need 2 picks to get it done. Think we might be better off using those 2 picks for 2 players instead, someone who can kick and someone who can run, fast.

Still need the cattle though to help a new coach/Voss succeed . Alex Marcou said this last week

Not here to cause issues. Wanted to ask whether you think Voss could survive if Carlton won every game from now until the bye?

A lot of folks and even the title of this thread indicating his gone. But wondering if people do genuinely think there’s still room to turn things around?
Negatory. Forget the bye, we could win every game for the rest of the season and I still wouldn't want to retain him (see 2023).

His papers were stamped before the season even started, he was never being re-signed for 2027.

He is the one I want.....you can't have a young coach first timer at Carlton it won't work, maybe once the monkey is off our back but in this environment there is no way.

Buckley would nott miss his last chance to succeed. I pray we get him

How do the Camporeale brothers relate to Walker? They were taken with late picks. Walker is widely touted as a Pick 1 chance. There is no comparison in terms of ability between those players.

We have been crying out for a player that can do what Walker did in the 3rd against senior bodies on the weekend. An example:

Fair enough, I don't follow U18s just going on what I've heard people say ie. his kicking isn't great.

Although I wouldn't be taking too much out of a single 2s game, Jagga looked like he'd dice up oppo teams with his kicking based on pre-season games against mature bodies too ¯\(ツ)

Nothing wrong with Jagga's kicking either. But expecting him to dice up teams in his first 8 games would be quite unreasonable of an expectation. Especially with the team around him performing so poorly.

He’s played 8 games in a team that’s struggling, can’t be expecting him to dice teams up. His kicking won’t be an issue. Neither will Cody’s

One of these things is not like the other....

It tells me that if you’re relying on him as a ball mover and not hitting the scoreboard then you’re likely going to be losing games?
