We are live with the Sydney post:

I thought this was a fascinating game, did a lot right and it was just a couple of moments here and there that cost a W.

Much of it is about the forward entries, why (most of them) looked like they did, and how it was all designed to take away as much of Sydney's transition as possible and/or hurt them when they tried to transition quickly.

So we had a specific plan for a specific opponent, who are about the best going around and we all but pulled it off. We were finishing polish and a few defensive lapses away from executing a plan to get a win here.

We are a world away from where we’ve been.

Wish I could like this comment twice. We were completely humbled and embarrassed in the corresponding fixture last year, 12 months we are fuming because we didn’t win.

It’s brewing - not sure how many games Sheez, George, Fos, Colby have all played together but I’m tipping it’s not many.

Going to be a fun back half of the season and beyond if we stay healthy.

It’s the beyond bit that I’m truly excited about.

Who knows where the talent we have can take us.

Next year we win that.

Another preseason of remorseless drilling the gameplan and recruiting players who are better suited to implementing said plan.

Those who said Clarko was past it or has lost his edge looking pretty stupid now.

It's literally just practice now, bringing in some role players. The high end talent, especially through midfield, which is the hardest piece in a rebuild to slot is there.

Rest of this season is gunna be a fun watch, girls will stroll the threepeat, couple of months off for bullshit Pommy sports like cricket and tennis, then we start putting heads on spikes
