    Preview Trading & drafting

There are a lot of clubs already that would take Boyd over Aish, and Dunstan could move ahead after an injury plagued year in 2012. Still, hopefully you guys finish too high to get him, keep building that quality midfield that's developing. There's quite a few good South Australian...

    Speculative Trade Discussion

Dogs are still keen and the Crows are very keen. We're also happy to keep him if a deal can't be worked out so we won't be letting him go cheap.

    Speculative Trade Discussion

Sorry guys, but a 2nd round pick or 3rd round + Motlop is not a bold play for him. The Crows are very keen to get him. I'm not sure that you have really made a bold play, but if you have you would have to give something of considerable value.
  18. Sin City

    Speculative Trade Discussion

How is that a bold play or something that we'd even consider? Unless you've actually offered your first rounder I reckon you're just being used to up his price and our bargaining power.

Two Best & Fairests and AA selection would say otherwise.

    Sam Jacobs

Well out of these guys we know how well he played against Mumford, he well and truly beat Hudson, got the most hit outs in the game against the Kangaroos, was very good against Leuenberger and equalled him for hit outs and did very well against Jolly. West Coast beat us in the ruck that game no...

A reflection on the Shaun Burgoyne trade

Hawthorn were topping up to try and win a flag before their window closes, didn't work and they look a long way back in the pecking order. You guys got two potential 12 years players with a lot of potential, you've done very well out of it.
  22. Sin City

    Sam Jacobs

Yes, you got pick 16 from us for French. Expect to giving up something of similar value for Jacobs.
  23. Sin City

    Sam Jacobs

Yes, we do because our rucks are very good. You don't because he's very good and your rucks aren't.
  24. Sin City

    Sam Jacobs

People are saying he has a smaller scope for improvement but he's on one hell of an upward curve over the last two years. No one can really say if that will stop soon or not but he hasn't shown any signs of stagnating.

Are middle of the road teams supposed to play more rucks in their team that top teams are regardless of whether it's a strength or not?

    A hell of a lot :thumbsu: http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_player_compare?tid1=4&pid1=1798&tid2=14&pid2=2316&type=A&fid1=S&fid2=S

    Sam Jacobs

Let's get serious here gopower, you hate it when opposition supporters under value Port players but here you are doing it to Sauce. Jacobs is an AFL standard first ruck which is what both Port and the Crows are crying out for. Salopek doesn't offer us much more than an addition to the midfield...
  28. Sin City

    Sam Jacobs

Bit disappointed about losing Jacobs, he's definitely capable of playing first ruck in the AFL and he's a real credit to himself with how far he's come after starting on the rookie list. I hope we get good compensation for him.
  29. Sin City

Salopek to be traded to Essendon?

Carlton were right into Moore before the draft, as well as Pittard and Melksham.
  30. Sin City

Salopek to be traded to Essendon?

Cool, what would you want for Salopek? BIB is one of our best and most reliable sources on the Carlton board. He has a very good source. Don't need to worry about him, he won't come on here making stuff up :thumbsu:
