Well we disagree on that - surely not by much though, you’d have to have him Top 3.

I know about the psyche reports - reckon they got it wrong from what I know. My understanding is he tested off the charts for self-confidence and they had concerns that translated into being a dickhead. In hindsight, it translates into a bloke who has Jordanesque qualities when it comes to big games and big moments.

Oh, of course he is very talented... but I don't think his actual output - if you really look at it - has been anywhere near 'player of the generation' level.

Yep, he tested as basically delusional in terms of self confidence & it scared some clubs.

Output has been pretty solid old mate....

Solid resume, but guaranteed that some of those AA's were on reputation alone. He shouldn't have even made it in 18, let alone be captain.
I'd still have 5, possibly 10 ahead of him in the last 15 years.

Anyhow, we digress.

"They build it up pretty big. I guess for us we've got a lot of rivalries, as Beej would know, and this one probably wouldn't be at the top of our list."

It was in his interview post game
Just watched the end of the replay just then, didn't hear him say that. Unless I didn't pay attention again

The next phase in Andrews development must be his disposal under pressure and improving his composure. Too often he rushes an indiscriminate kick away without assessing the situation.
Again a trait all our mids have and Andy is again the one singled out.

Not saying he isn’t doing the wrong thing because he is but for me it seems more of a coaching thing when its almost every player we have that has a little bit of pressure on them just want to hack the ball forward.

I agree with this, it is almost like they have or are being taught to just bang it forward when under pressure. That being said, he is getting to the right spots to begin with, perhaps he needs some of his team mates to provide some support or clear some space other than just trying to get stats and look good. Andy is someone who is prepared to get his head over the ball and do the hard stuff... and sometimes this means that he is outnumbered and under sever pressure
