Taylor is a quality bloke and a quality player. You need a bit of inner arrogance to be great, its nothing to be worried about, he certainly isnt arrogant off the field, top young man!

Wish we had him on our list!
 
75. Adelaide – Taylor Walker

The Crows have done nicely out of the NSW scholarship scheme. Walker is a mobile, roaming, tall half-forward. Not really a contested marker or a true CHF, plays more a Steve Johnson role doing a lot of his damage after he has brought the ball to ground and switched into rover mode. Tends to play the game from side-to-side … from boundary line to CHF, or from CHF out the boundary. Really looks to use space more than make the play

as weaver had on his draft board, this is a faily accurate description of the Early season Taylor Walker, I though he improved on the making the play element late in the season however.

So how mnay games od people think he is going to play for us, IMO he wont play the full year I'd be very suprised but happy if he did. But I think he will only play around 13-15 games for us before his body gets tired.

I would hope with all things being equal he gets about the same sort of action as Kurt Tippett did this year. 15 to 20 games
 
I think he'll take the AFL by storm and play 22 games ;)

He doesnt play a crash and bash style of game. Most of his goals come from superior leading and general smartness and therefore wont rely on sheer strength to beat his opponents

I am also tipping him to get 1 rising start nomination as well I think he will kick 1 big bag.

That's a massive ask for a player in his first year of AFL footy. My bet would be on 1-1.5 goals per game.

Yeah true maybe I was putting the average a little high.

Would you agree that his season is going ot be up and down where some days he shines, some days he doesnt even look like hes out there?.

66 goals in his first year of AFL!? :eek: If he does that we will have a mega star on our hands.. he wont kick that many but I think he'll come close to 2 a game.

That's pretty much what I'd expect from any youngster in their first year of AFL footy. Taylor Walker included.

ok maybe my standards were sit to high there :o...can I change my guess and go with vader? lol

how awesome would it be to see him kick that though he would be a ceartinity for the rising star award.
 
I think 40 goals would be an exceptional return if he played all year. If he can average 2 goals a game over however many matches he plays (assuming he plays more than just a few) that will be a brilliant return.


I expect him to get a rising star nomination next year but then I said the same about Mackay early last year and that never came despite him doing everything we could hope for in his debut year.
 
Prediction : 11 games one bag of 5 goals and 27 for the season for AFC ....9 games for Norwood and kicks 24 goals !
 
The fact that no one has uploaded the video of him demolishing Port in the elimination final is outrageous.

Does anyone know how Taylor Walker is now. On the channel 9 news tonight they said the good news for the crows is that Walker is still growing in height and bulking up quite a bit. The crows said he has grown 2cm in the last year. The channel 9 reporter said Walker had grown to 191cm tall but i already thought he was this height last year. I remember Tails saying he had grown to 193cm and 93kg. Is he this height?
