Ha. Really?

Well his offensive work doesn't seem as effective and I think his best is past him. His kicking in particular seems especially dodgy at times.

Happy to be proven wrong but with Thommo and Hansen as locks, with Tippett and Taz fighting for another spot along with Spud in almost career best form as a player who can play tall or small, I just feel Grima is not in the comfortable position he once used to be.......and would have been guaranteed a spot considering the state of the current list.

Grima is comfortably our second best key defender (when fit). Is the best spoiler at the club and reads the game very well.

I'm dreading the day we use Spud on a genuine key position forward. I still have nightmares about his time as one of our KPB.

Spud got smashed in the Collingwood '13 game. Thankfully, everything else went to plan.

I have always rated Grima highly. I'm just not sure he is as effective as he used to be, plus we are better placed now in terms of options and I think consistency in selection is important if players are performing.

I thought Tippett showed a fair bit defensively plus I keep getting told Taz will have a spot.

I agree about Spud for sure. He is not a KPP and never has been.

Mr. Scott has said he is confident that Grima will come back "better than ever". I'm not so naive as to believe such nonsense as I am a grown man.
Already I am finding myself writhing in pain when Mr. Scott fronts the media.
Sure, Mr. Scott wears his arm in his sleeve, but it's time to let the football do the talking.

Sure you may be a "Grown Man" but didn't you once "barrick" for the "Demons"? :stern look

Anyways it's good to see that BS is living up to his name. :stern look

Oh great. Coach bashing has started before a ball has been bounced.

Why didn't the club make this decision earlier like when our season finished?
I'm pretty sure if the medical professionals who are paid handsomely by the club to make critical decisions in the best interest of the players deemed it was worth operating on after the season then I'm sure they would have done so. Without knowing the finer details of the injury and it's management then I think it's best to trust the medical staff's judgement.

Narni always had back problems.
I'll admit. I'd like to hear from the medicos themselves about what happened. It sounds like it flared up, and they thought it was under control, but I can't shake the feeling that putting him in for surgery at the end of the season was also a viable option. Then again, hindsight makes us all look like fools.

Also, anyone else think this could be a good opportunity to a glimpse what rehab is really like? We had Man vs Majak last year as a big project, I wonder if there is any chance of them following Narni through rehab. He performs well for the cameras, and I think it would be interesting to say the least.
