We've had a bit over a year to suss out these players. Who would you rather have at your club? You can take into account what you've seen so far, as well as speculated potential.
I understand that some of these guys are KPP and therefore would take longer to develop but at this point in time, which one of them would you pick?
Given the poll limit is 20, I've added the top 16 and a few other players who have shown their ability to perform at the top level.

For mine.

1) Naitanui
2) Hurley
3) Hill
4) Watts
5) Ziebell
6) Rich
7) Beams
8) Sidebottom
9) Hartlett
10) Shuey
11) Swift
12) The rest.

A lot of love for Naitanui here. If he learnt how to raise his disposal efficiency, he'll be leaps and bounds ahead of everyone else.

No Ziebell love!
Stuck with Hurley, would not mind Rich, Hill or Ziebell tho.
Interested how anyone could justify Cordy over Vickery/Nicnat, or Mitch Brown over Hurley/Schoenmakers???

Cordy was picked after Vickery / NicNat so not sure why it needs justifying?

Hurley for mine, closely followed by Naitanui. After that it's really a big mess of players, from the various midfielders and the few talls who we won't really know much about for a few years at the least - but have shown good signs so far.

I wouldn't trade Watts for any of them.

i tend to agree, he was the standout at his draft camp and all season, was always touted as number 1 and went there! good on the dees for sticking o their guns! but gee nicnat is exciting!

time will tell with this one, need about 6 more years before this should be analysed

Hurley for mine.

He'll be an absolute weapon at either end of the ground as already displayed last season. IMO he's going to bea very special player.

If Naitanui improves his disposal, he's in the same category. Already a good player with much improvement left.

Looking at that list - there's some seriously talented players. What a draft.

So would I be, but I can't work out who exactly is trying to do so... have I missed something?
Ayce Cordy

While Ziebell has 3 votes and has played some very good footy.
Surely just barracking.

Perhaps a bit of bias but I'd take Hurley over anyone else atm. A guy who has already shown quite a bit at either end of the ground is a weapon. I'd probably go Hill next, he's skills and pace are amazing. Great gamble by Freo that will pay off in spades.

1. Naitanui
2. Hill/Hurley (both look like being stars)
3. Hill/Hurley (as above)

Then probably Zieball.. Haven't seen much of Hartlett though

Watts would want to be good. As Melbounre have skipped on any of these 5;

Naitanui, Hurley, Hill, Rich and Ziebell..

Who will all be studs and possibly champions of the AFL in 5 years..

we have seen glimpses of brilliance from trengove, scully and grimes to be the future, IMO if Melbounre went Hurley or Nic nat over watts they may be talking dynasty in the future..

I guess Jack has a chance to prove us all wrong in the near future, but if he was the best player in the land why hasnt he shown ANYTHING yet?

Naitanui would want to be good. As West Coast have skipped on any of these 4;

Hurley, Hill, Rich and Ziebell..

Hill would want to be good. As Freo have skipped on any of these 3;

Hurley, Rich and Ziebell..

Shall I keep going or....

oh and it's called 'being out injured' you imbecile

Hill and Naitanui have proven they will be stars, have shown bursts on more than one occasion they will dominate the league.

watch Hill's game on the weekend his speed and game breaking ability have been brilliant absolutely worth pick 3. and we all have seen how dominant nic-nat can and will be on the field, his freakish skills and play will change the way kids ruck in the future.

Hurley almost single handidly put essendon into the finals last year with that 4 goal performance against the hawks and hill beat Carlton in the QF off his own boot. Again examples of how dominant these kids will be.

Watts wasnt injured all of last year, yet at AFL level when he played he was probably the only one of the above mentioned who didnt at least show something to exemplify why he was a top 10 pick.

dont get touchy, everyone is entitled to their opinion. alot of the football public are waiting to be shown why he was the kid chose above every other footballer in Australia last year

I guess Jack has a chance to prove us all wrong in the near future, but if he was the best player in the land why hasnt he shown ANYTHING yet?

Because he is a year younger than most of his draft, needs to develop physically, and is meant to play CHF in the worst side in the competition (Or second worst at best).

Thought he was alright with 2 goals in his second game against Essnedon when we got thumped, looks like no-one watched it....

Another common BigFooty misconception.

Watts showed alot in his three games at AFL level last year; including:
V Collingwood (got this game recorded):
- His one handed control of the ball in the middle of a pack and then handball out to Sylvia
- Watts cleanly picking up the ball on the 50 metre line when everybody else overran it (but he missed the shot and kicked a point).
- Turning Brad Dick inside out then delivering a perfect 50 metre pinpoint pass to Bate
- Intercepting an errant Collingwood handball in and handballing off to Moloney which starts a forward thrust for the Dees

V Essendon (got this game recorded):
- Strong overhead mark and perfect kick to get his first goal in AFL footy
- Intercepting an Essendon handball with one hand then handballing back over his head to Morton
- Getting the ball after Jetta fumbles it in the middle of a pack, turning out of the pack with composure and class, then hitting up Brad Green who is on the 50 metre line all by himself
- Takes a mark, gets a handball off to Sylvia, Sylvia hands back to Watts who is now under pressure on the boundary line, Watts turns onto his left foot and does a perfect pass to Moloney
- Perfect kick for his second goal from 45 metres out.

V Brisbane (just from memory):
- Great one handed mark in the forwardline under immense pressure, misses the shot though
- Draws in the opponent which frees up Davey to run in to an open goal, good goal assist.

Definitely wasn't a bad start from a skinny 196cm 18 year old, but people love to hate on the No.1 draft pick.
