Not stuffed but he is not as confident as he was. The North game he did get an easy match up as they double teamed Langford. He was ok a few weeks ago taking 9 marks against North and 8 marks against Gold Coast. If his shoulder was stuffed he would not have done that.
I think our forward entries are killing our forwards. Our long bombs are easily picked off by defenders. This is why we need to play Martin forward as he is a good kick.
Blues blocked to corridor too and we had little run through the middle forcing us wide leading to difficult shots on goal.
Is it the shoulder, or is it the getting suspended for 4 weeks for attacking an ordinary contest in an ordinary way and the other bloke coming off second best?
The delivery was dog shit to Wright. Sure he dropped a few, but not many.He was ok a few weeks ago taking 9 marks against North and 8 marks against Gold Coast. If his shoulder was stuffed he would not have done that.

His first year was meh.It crossed my mind but I really don’t see why it would impact him.
I think he got off to a flyer with us when he arrived and his form has just dipped. For a bloke with his history, it’s probably playing on his mind a bit (maybe I’m not good enough).
I think he’ll work his way out of it, but it’ll take some time. Some guys can get back into form by being aggressive and smashing packs etc until their timing and touch reappear. He doesn’t haven’t that in his game. So he’ll look shit for a bit until he gets his groove back.
Thought we missed an opportunity to run him with TDK and put Cox forward early. No confidence. In his shell.
IMO needs to get up the ground and his hands on the ball just to touch and find the footy as he's super mobile and more than capable endurance
He sure is. Was a surprise to see him miss his third shot. Such a confidence player that I reckon if he had 3 quick ones he might have kept going. He’s a good kick for goal.
A lot of good points here but it could still go either way.I think people miss the point of 2MP:
- Cost us nothing : neither in draft capital or salary (GCS paid some of good salary for a couple of seasons)
- Better than next best : who takes his spot and draws the best KPD? Happy to see some squeeze now but reality is it ain’t strong enough for him to be dropped
- Back up ruck : he’s a fwd - ruc not a ruc - fwd. He’s a better back up ruck than 75% of other teams have. If / when we revert to a singles pure ruck, he is really valuable
- Great kick for goal - his proven ratio is outstanding. From 50+ fine. In front yips… no. From boundary… yup.
Nothing worse than not converting kicks on goal. Nothing. You win games kicking goals. Rips your heart out when you lose games from poor kicking.
May not have had a stellar run of late but this guy is best 22 every round.
"One good year". He's had one bad year for us, of which he was injured for over half the season.A lot of good points here but it could still go either way.
He was a bit flaky at GC, has had one good year with us. In 2022 no one had a bad thing to say about him and we saw what he's capable of. The oppo saw that too and now he gets dealt with, and it has impacted his game. Or maybe the impact of 2022 papered over the cracks. Either way, he's flaky again now.
That he's forward-ruck is structurally his most valuable asset and Brad wants to keep our shape. He'll be around for a season or two yet.

He was one goal and 5 hitouts away from being only the third player to kick 30+ goals and average 10+ hitouts a game in the 21st century in 2021.
He's getting a bad wrap. People want him to be Paul Salmon. He's not.
Ngl came here to spread some hate but maybe we need to lower expectations for him. But he definitely isnt the answer as a #1 KPFI think people miss the point of 2MP:

he's more suited to be number 2. he'll want to draw players because opposition teams know that he's a phenomenal set shot & can destroy teams (wb game in 2021 for example) because of that, so if he's drawing their second best defender up the ground, it gives our forwards a much better opportunity for successNgl came here to spread some hate but maybe we need to lower expectations for him. If caddy has a huge pre season and fills out a bunch could see him take the stay at home role and pete go up the ground a bit more. Kinda sucks we have 4 Key forwards between 192-194cm. If only one of them were an inch or two taller and a bit more monstrous.he's more suited to be number 2. he'll want to draw players because opposition teams know that he's a phenomenal set shot & can destroy teams (wb game in 2021 for example) because of that, so if he's drawing their second best defender up the ground, it gives our forwards a much better opportunity for success
Rather, I meant one good year as a forward. His value is as a forward-ruck, obviously."One good year". He's had one bad year for us, of which he was injured for over half the season.

Even this year, ignoring the ruck work, he’s 42nd in the league for goals per game (played >3 games). And although he doesn’t mark as many as we’d like, he does bring it to ground a lot. He’s a solid contributor as a forward even ignoring his ability to be our second ruck option.Rather, I meant one good year as a forward. His value is as a forward-ruck, obviously.
