You can't be serious, there would be more chance of him being drafted by a Trainer at Flemington.

Kym Monteath from East Fremantle would have to be in consideration. Not sure who he is eligible for under Father/Son.

...

He is eligible to be taken by Richmond under the F/S rule. Would be very interested in reports on how he is travelling this year!

He was travelling really well until he did his shoulder last week. Out for 6-8 weeks.

Matt Little

I like the look of Matt Little, he hails from my club (Rupertswood FC) and is part of the cannons squad as well.

Winner of the Peter Harris Medal for best on ground in the VAFA under19 section 3 grand final.

He played mostly club footy last year to regain fitness as he had some soft tissue problems, but he still managed to play a few Tac Cup games.

Hopefully this year, he should have a full year at the cannons and prove his worth as either a full forward or centre half forward. He also proved his worth in some game last year he was given a run on the ball and impressed all who saw these games.

Has been involved at the cannons from under15s up, having previously played at Romsey Lancefield prior to Rupertswood. Would he not be at cannons, this year some of our coaching staff believe he would be in the seniors every week.

In under16s, he booted 95 (85 home & away) goals for the season in the Riddel District Junior Football League (RDJFL) at an average of about 9-9.5 a game. He kicked 12 goals in a match twice. Let's not forget that they only play 14 home and away games in that particular junior league.

He is the cousin of James Hird and nephew of Alan Hird.

Does anyone else rate him as a draft prospect ?

Hell yeah. Handy replacement for Richo when he retires.

WA:
Matthew Seal (East Perth/JTC)
Mitch Morton (Claremont/Hale)
Brennan Mills (Claremont/Hale)
Mitchell Clark (East Fremantle)
Ashton Hams (South Fremantle)
Callum Burgess (West Perth)

VIC
Chris Knights
Eddie Betts
Brett Deledio
Luke Herrington

Herrington is starting to play foward again! played on the forward flank, Kicked 2 goals and had 23 touches.

In the cranbourne leader it states: Luke Herrington started to show glimpses of his 2003 form across half foward

Also from the VFL players would have to be Marc Holt and Dean Cadel, (Dean is being watched my essendon this year)

Draft Prospects

Darren Brakenridge......

Saw him play last year at U19, reserves and League level and he looked the goods to me. His form in the U18 championships warranted All Australian Selection (even the SA coach was surprised he wasnt selected) and he looked great when he was training with the crows.
Has glandular fever at the moment so isnt playing but that didnt stop the Bulldogs picking Isaac Thompson who missed most of last season with gf!

Thoughts anyone............ Id have him at the crows before i had Smith, Skipworth, Kruger, Massie, Shirley.....etc

This kid could be the next Brett Burton in my opinion, even thou the recruiters were worried bout his take off speed thats all they thought was wrong with him.......

Just listening to an interview with Kevin Sheahan on SEN 1116, watch out for these names :

Cameron Wood
Fabian Deluca
Mark Lynch
Brett Deludio
Mitch Morton
Lance "Buddy" Franklin (possible top 5 pick).......

Matt Little

Matt is improving his draft credentials, after so far kicking 14 goals (8 and 6) from a half forward flank.

Anyone else interested in Matt Little and believe he has enough (good) skills/credentials to make it to the elite leagues (AFL,VFL) ?

Let us know with your thoughts.

Buddy comes from a close family, who are not foreign to professional sport. His two sisters play netball at a high level. “Bianca (who is at the AIS) has given me a lot of advice. He will enter the draft this year and is happy to go anywhere to play football.

I don't think he's eligible but next draft will be eligible for Richmond under the F/S rule.

West Coast Stre, have you seen much of him, if so what are his strengths/weaknesses etc?

From SA:

Shannon Hurn from Centrals, already built like a tank 189cm 93kg plays on the half back flank, watch for him to go early.

Angus Monfries is your tough goalkicking midfielder type like your Andrew Embley's etc.

Also look out for Cameron Wood, he is already 203cm, a monster and still growing.
3 players that i hope greg miller will closely look at.he has stated we are after solid types while wood perhaps be groomed for when staff retires.

cheers!

Definatly aye. We beed another young ruckman. And a kid like monfries who is tough and a midfielder would be handy too. A guy like shannon hurn who is a tank would be good for our HB line. You should email him tigerofold

Monfries is a GUN, but still really really light! Wood is pretty average i reckon, played against him and dont rate him that highly!
Another kid, Josh Sampson is being looked at by the Sydney scouts i beleive
