This will be interesting. At this stage I’d say J Brown and Fev easily. Watching J Brown last night, just re-confirmed his status as the best CHF in the AFL by an absolute mile. Brown is hard to combat because of his size and incredible strength. He doesn’t have much of a leap, but has good height, vice-like hands, and uses his strength very well. KP defenders that play body-on-body will invariably fail. Watching Setanta’s dual with Brown was fascinating. Setanta effected a heap of spectacular spoils by using his pace, height, and massive leap. Very few, if any, KP defenders have these athletic attributes though. He did however struggle when he played body-on-body against Brown. Brown has surprising speed, and amazing endurance, and just wears his opponent down. A sensational player. Fev is also very hard to combat. Fev’s main weapon is his unbelievable burst speed, combined with enormous power and brilliant marking ability. His ground level skills are just extreme, and we all know how good a kick he is. Most teams assign 2-3 players to the Fev matchup. One is assigned to spoil from behind, and one other player tries to go with him on the lead, or block his lead. The Hawks often assigned a 3rd opponent to provide a sweeping, support role. Despite this attention, Fev usually wins. The other KP forwards have been very good in the past, but are easier to combat nowdays.
