Jolly clearly the 4th best ruckman this year. I think the two AA spots will be given to 2 out of Cox, Sandi and Hille.

Jolly's stats:

Hitout: 434 (3rd)
Hitout to advantage: ???
Disposals: 232 (4th)
Contested disposals: 103 (4th)
Clearances: 54 (4th)

Marks inside 50: 16 (equal 1st)
Rebound 50: 14 (4th)
Inside 50: 41 (4th)
Goals: 13.10 (2nd)
Clangers: 61 (4th)
Disposal Efficiency: 72.9% (1st)
Goal Assists: 7 (equal 2nd)
Tackles: 39 (1st)
1%: 30 (3rd)
Supercoach average: 84.5 (4th)

He's 3rd or 4th in a lot of important categories; hitouts, disposals, clearances.

Area's he excels; tackles, goals, disposals efficiency, marks inside 50. I'm not sure those areas will have you considered in the AA team. Goals are obviously important, but tackles could be put down to the Sydney game plan. The other two are so so areas.

Excellent.

After this, the WCE fans are going to be much more furious when Hille is picked as the AA ruckman in a month. :D:D:D

Looking forward to the dummy spits. :)

hmmm... you might be disappointed when sandilands is named over hille on the bench! maybe, i dunno

Supercoach Average:
Cox 111.8
Sandilands 93.3
Hille 87.8
Jolly 80.3
Petrie 95.7

From what i can gather, Sandilands has the most impact around the clearances. He wins the most contested ball, he leads the 1%, has the most clearances and DOMINATES the hitouts.

Cox has the best alround best game. Coming close to Sandilands impact at the clearances but leading the other 2 in outside work by a fair margin. He rebounds from defensive 50 and puts the ball inside 50 more than any other ruckman. He DOMINATES the disposal tally.

Hille has the strongest presence up forward, he has taken the most marks inside 50, is a close 2nd to Sandilands in 1% and contested marks and equal 1st with Cox in tackles. Hille DOMINATES the goal tally adding more than Cox and Sandilands combined.

Someone will ask why i haven't included Jolly or Petire. If you look up Jolly in the stats he just doesn't come close overall and looks a clear 4th. Therefore i haven't bothered to include him in the comparison. Petrie has had a great season. He's taken 150 marks and had 355 disposals. My problem is he's only a seldom ruckman. Its only since McIntosh went down that Petrie has been thrown the task more often. At the moment he's had 196 hitouts which in my opinion should exclude you from being named AA as a ruckman. If this was AA utility on the other hand. He'd be up there.

good choices in the end, i think hille was pumped up by some in the media beccoz hes a victorian and they dont watch enough of the wa sides but I watched both and cox and sandi were clearly the best two ruckmen this year.

Yeah but..... Drew Petrie :o:thumbsd:

It was fair, Hille dropped form late in the year, and missing those last 2 and half games hurt his chances. Petrie was arguably the best utility ruck/forward/back this year, should make the bench.

Ahead of Sandilands though? Nehhhhhh.
