There is no way Hurley should go pick 6.
This is supposed to be one of the best/if not the best drafts of all time...
He has no pace, no stamina, no agility, no height, but he is a brilliant 'natural' footballer.
Firstly, what do you consider to be 'no pace, stamina, agility and height'?
He didn't do the athletic tests at draft camp so you can't base it off those, as for height he is low to mid 190's yes? Definitely tall enough, and strong enough, to play KP.
What's wrong with taking a natural footballer? Do you not rate Daniel Rich as a top 3 pick, because he is a 'natural' footballer who is not so athletically gifted? Hurley is someone who can kick 50 metres accurately off either foot off one step, who can take the kick ins, with excellent on field leadership and who can take a very good contested mark.
I've thought up some examples for you of what I'd call similar players
Tom Harley-He's not exactly what you'd call fast or athletic
Ben Rutten/Max Hudghton-Same mould as Hurley and they're both considered to be in the top 5 full backs in the competition.
Tom Hawkins-He is of the same type of build as Hurley, a man-child potentially a number one pick.
All those players would make it into the top 10 of their respective drafts, what is wrong with taking Hurley at that pick?
