12 games, 22 goals

Other
Mackie will play his best season to date.
Selwood will not improve that much next season, but will still be a star
Our key position back that we pick up in the draft will play 10 games.
We will have two rising star nominations. Djerk and Gamble.

i'd probably have Freo a bit higher and geelong on top.

mackie's improvement was fantastic this year and will only get better.
scarlo for B&F

Yeah, honestly I don't see either of your top 2 making the finals next year, and im a bit iffy on the roos...i think youll find that all of the saints, dogs and dockers will replace them.

I am iffy on all three to be honest, I don't know where to put them. Same goes with the bottom 6... they could go anywhere, thats why I have them all equal

Not too far off from my line of thinking but...

I think you are really harsh on the Blues, i believe they will be the big 2008 improvers and should look to be around the eight mark (anything from 7-12). I really didn't think they were that bad in 2007 and thought they could've quite simply won another 4 games if they'd put in the effort. With Judd, Hadley,Stevens all big inclusions they should be alright the Blues. My bet is on Carrazzo being the Gary Ablett Jnr. of 2008 - a star!

I think Brisbane could be a side to watch next year, they were pretty threatening at times in '07 and can potentially be a contender.

I think Sydney are shot to be honest, i believe they are rebuilding and won't make finals in 2008.

St. Kilda and Freo you never know what to predict; got the cattle but never seem to do the hard yards.

And you have to question how much of an impact that 119 point defecit will have on Port psycologically. Will they be a serious shot at it or will they take a few steps back?

Melbourne, Richmond, Essendon, Adelaide might as well start preparing for 2009 now...

I don't believe the competition will be as even as it was in 2007. I think there will be a much larger gap from the top 8 to the bottom 8.

Well that's my two bobs worth... :thumbsu:

You guys are all rating the Eagles too highly. Without Cousins and Judd, the Eagles are done. They will not make the 8.

Geelong will finish miles clear on top again. I believe that Collingwood will be our biggest challenge. They've lost a few key players, but how many of those players had solid contributions for them last year? Buckley and Clement spent a lot of the year injured. Travis Cloke will have a big year for them. He reminds me of Mooney, yet better than Mooney was at that age.

I'm expecting Carlton to finish in the 8, but I hope they don't. I would love to see Judd and a few other key players get injured, and for them to fall in a heap... Not going to happen though I don't think.

A lot of people are talking StKilda up, but I believe they will slip out of the 8. Gherig was a big part of their structure, and the fact that they stated that they still needed an almost 40 year old in Harvey, and are relying on King to lead their ruck division indicates they are ****ed.

Fremantle will be the surprise packet. I'm expecting them to make the 8. Their list is strong, but needs to click. This last season of theirs reminded me a lot of Geelong in '06. Also, if they get Cousins, then with the forward line they have, they could be a serious threat.

Richmond to scrape into the 8 (they've got some good young talent), and Essendon to bomb out and have their worst year in history.

Can't be arsed doing a ladder right now - my generic prediction is for Cats minor premiers again, take out the flag, and Gaz Jr to win the Brownlow.

Optimism is the name of the game right now :thumbsu:

I foresee Nathan Ablett coming along - I don't foresee Tom Hawkins coming along yet, I think he might need more time, though I'd love to be wrong there.

Anyway, exciting year ahead for us I think.

Ladder

Geelong: Come home strongly after a slowish start
Fremantle: To 'do a Geelong' next year but not quite catch us
Collingwood: Well coached and about the place again next year
West Coast: Competitive without Judd and Cuz and will be so again next year
St Kilda: A couple of extra wins equals a couple of extra rungs
Brisbane: With more than one foward to kick to could be a handful
Kangaroos: Will be somehow underrated again and remain in the top half
Sydney: Same old structure, same old result

Hawthorn: Will go backwards before they go fowards
Port: Can expect plenty of physical attention
Adelaide: Not quite finalists this time
Carlton: Improved midfield but still no decent ruckmen
Melbourne: A better year but still off the pace
Western Bulldogs: Seven times on the road does not equal a happy season
Richmond: To begin the long road back. Showed signs late last year
Essendon: Unispiring list and coaching panel and minus the arse wins too

regards,

REB

Finish 2-3 at end of season and go on to win the cup by 6-7 goals. I'm expecting a slowish start to the season as we'll be a month or so behind in preparation given a late finish this year.
Also we cannot reasonably expect to have such a good run with injuries.

Tomahawk to win Rising Star, yes he still qualifies!!
Bartel to go back to back and win the Brownlow.
Vfl side to sneak into the finals but no further as we will have a heap of 1st year players.
Nathen Ablett to really improve and make a real mark at CHF.
Varcoe and Djerrkura to both have considerable impact.
