Yea it's a hard draft to re-do because there are so many good players in the top end.

naitanui should be 6th on that list he actually has an aa and is a ruckman which is more valuable then a small forward. I expect naitanui to be top 5 on evryones list at the end of next year.

I was basing this ranking on 2014 performances.

I know I've said this a lot but what a **** up McKernan was.......Beams or Hannebery......what could've been.

no shuey? Had a poor start but a great second half of the season.

Yep, forgot about him. I'd have him at 16 behind Zaharakis based on 2014 (higher in 2011 or 2012) and would kick out De Boer from the top 20.

I know itll seem biased, but with an unbroken preseason and an injury free year, Ziebell can shoot up this list. His forward versatility will see to that imo

I highly rate Sloane, Beams and Hartlett too

A great year it has to be said.

Is Luke Shuey an oversight or are you making a statement about him? I'd recommend taking a closer look at his season as he would be easy top 10 on his career so far. Also curious on HH at 11, you've overrated Redden and I would have him ahead of Motlop and close to top 5 tbh.

Yea forgot about Shuey, put him in 18th place and push DeBoer out. Nah Redden is a pretty durable player who is really underrated because he plays for Brisbane. I'm sure Hartlett will go near top 5 in a few years but he hasn't put multiple seasons together like the others in front of him have.
I just put Motlop ahead of him purely on the spectacular things that he can but that's just personal preference.

Good list apart from Shuey as you've mentioned and probably DeBoer. I'm curious if you this is your opinion for now or the future or now. In terms of the future, am I unrealistic in saying that Yarran, Shuey and Hartlett are heading towards 5-10 more than anyone else and will have a few AA's? Really excited by them this season. Also do you agree that Stephen Hill and Nic Naitanui could challenge Beams/Rockliff as the No 1 in coming years?

Fair Call, I'd have Shuey+Walters ahead of Rich/Zaka/Ziebell on output, but that is personal preference, top list though.

This is how I see it after 2014... What do you guys think?

What a great top 20... I would take any of these players in my top 10 in any other draft... Strong year

Honourable mentions De Boer, Broadbent, Phil Davis, Michael Hurley, Shoenmakers, Wright and Bennell.

Rich a bit high at 4. But with a midfield of Beams, Rockliff, Hanley, Zorko, Redden and co around him, I'm expecting a big year.

Bloody good draft.

I was basing this ranking on 2014 performances.

Shit rankings then. Redden injury affected season with 14 games, average of 23 disposals and just 6 goals, ahead of Zaharakis?

Rich did his knee in rnd 3 - ahead of Shuey.

So it's only Naitanui who gets 2014 into account, hmm wonder why...

Decided to do some rough tiers with my rankings:

1. Dayne Beams
2. Tom Rockliff
3. Daniel Hannebery
4. Rory Sloane - The four that have showed the most ability along with the most overall production.

5. Steele Sidebottom
6. Hamish Hartlett
7. Luke Breust
8. Stephen Hill - Sidebottom very close to the top tier but I think most agree he's just never going to be the type of player that inspires that kind of passion. Hartlett remaining injury free could see him climb; possibly the most talented of the group.

9. David Zaharakis
10. Nic Naitanui
11. Luke Shuey
12. Jack Redden
13. Michael Walters
14. Steven Motlop
15. Hayden Ballantyne
16. Jack Ziebell - I think Redden is slept on a bit, he's a very consistent performer and has been for a while. The "damage" factor will always cost him though. A combination of skill and potential not yet fully realised (Naitanui, Motlop, Ziebell) with stellar output (Ballantyne, Walters) in this bunch.

17. Jackson Trengove
18. Chris Yarran
19. Michael Hurley
20. Daniel Rich- Rich would obviously be higher if he hadn't had so many injury struggles. Zac Clarke and Matthew Broadbent would be next in line for me.

My rating was status in the game as at season end. Not sure about Yarren and Shuey as they have both struggled with consistency but when on song, they are excellent players. Hartlett I reckon will be an elite player in the next few years. I still reckon Beams and Rockliff will finish their careers ahead of Hill and Naitanui, but could see NicNat and Hill finishing their careers in the top 5 or 6 players from the 2008 draft.
