I like Seaby, never understood why he didn't get a chance at WCE this year. 24 is a good in between age. With Gardiner retiring I think he's a good get. Wouldn't want to give up much though. Kosi is a forward and we need to play him there. We also need to get him on the growth hormones, he still looks skinny, I want him more Shaq-like.

Haven't seen much of the daftee's. Anybody got any Video's or pics or Mitch Brown?

When i was looking at the vids of the players last night. There was a few that caught my eye. Mitch Robinson,Sam Blease,Stephen Hill and Nick Suban. Tyrone Vickery Looked Handy aswell but he won't reach us i would'nt think.

Just read that Choco Williams wouldn't mind giving up pick #4 for a decent trade.

If you were RL .. would you offer Kosi / Dal (more likely Dal) + Fiora / Rix / 3rd rounder ?

Gherig = quit

Gehrig quits — this time for good

Tom Arup | October 3, 2008

ST KILDA forward Fraser Gehrig has put an end to his inglorious return to AFL after playing just five games this year.
The Saints forward, who played 260 games for St Kilda and West Coast, thanked the club and supporters in a statement yesterday, saying he had enjoyed his time in football.
Gehrig retired at the end of the 2007 season with a colourful gesture when he climbed into the stand to hand a young Saints supporter his jumper.
But in a surprise move, the two-time Coleman Medallist made a return to top-flight football when the Saints picked him up in the pre-season draft.
Gehrig made the decision to return to the AFL while on holiday in Switzerland last year and set up a number of calls with St Kilda to talk about a return to football.
The return was a bust and Gehrig only managed five games and nine goals for the Saints while suffering from a recurring injury in his right hand for most of the year.
Earlier this season Gehrig said he returned to AFL to play in a premiership side, but had come back to find the game had got "quicker and harder".
"The club knew, and I knew, when I came back that I would need a lot of things to go right for me and that's why they took the punt."

Did Gardiner quit?

Shaq-like?

he would lose his contested marking ability. He wouldn't be able to lift his feet off the ground.

:D

There is probably a reason Seaby didn't play much for West Coast this year, he isn't any good. I mean if you couldn't get a game for a side that was as bad as the Eagles were this year it doesn't say much about your ability. If I were the Saints recruiting staff I wouldn't be going near him, not even if the Eagles were giving him away.

Surely we have had enough of recruiting dud older ruckman from other clubs. With King and Kosi/Shaq hopefully around for at least the next year or two it should give the club enough time to develop some of the younger ruckman already on the list, like McEvoy and Van Rheenen. Either that or recruit a quality young ruckman like Warnock.

david armitage looks like a good player when i have seen him....
how come he can't get a game at the saints...
and woud you be willing to give him up

He is good but still very young.
Unlike the Tigers, not just anyone can waltz up to St Kilda and get a game.
He will be fitter and better next year and get more games ( he was St Kilda's 6th highest goal kicker in 08 )

No! If we trade him I will personally kill the person responsible , then torture them :p
