Bloody good game, wanted Fed to win to begin with but am happy Nadel won, really deserved it and has improved a huge amount on grass this year. Is starting to dominate both now, Fed might have more troubles than he thinks now.

Ooops my mistake Safin beat Hewitt in the Oz 2005 Open not Federer. He beat Federer in the semis.

Damn. Should've stayed up, I thought the rain was going to hold and we'd be back tonight watching. What a ____ing match though. That backhand pass in the tiebreak to save match point by fed in the 4th was legendary. Congrats Rafa- the battles between these two are going to last for a long long time.

Hit the sack after the first rain delay, was thinking Raf would either win it in 3 or Federer would pull the greatest ever comeback and wn it in 5..almost.
lol in the first 2 games, I said it would either be done in 3 sets with one player completly dominating, or it will be the longest ever wimbledon game. Went to bed thinking the first would be right, wake up and see the 2nd was almost right lol.

If Fed woon that match I would have been devastated. Nadal deserved that win so much, especially after losing the final last year in 5 sets. The first rain delay helped Federer so much and while Fed fought extremely well, the mental strentgh of Nadal is UNBELIEVABLE. After being up 2 sets to 0, having matchpoints in the 4th set, that he was able to hold his nerve in that final set is just amazing.
GO Rafa!!! New world number 1 in a couple of months time and he deserves it.

Fed will hit back, he's the better natural talent.
It was on the Biography Channel at 1:00pm today. They have showed it on a semi regular basis on Fox Sports over the past month. I suspect it'll be played again on one of those channels again at some point.
I dislike Roger but it was a great doco.

thats true and tiebreaks are the reason he won a couple of set, he never looked like breaking rafa in those 2 sets.
He had heaps of break points so the opportunites were there, just Nadal took his better, especially the first 2 sets.
if nadal didnt choke at 5-2, the match would have been over in 4 sets. Serve bailed federer out in the breaker, he served 6 aces in the 2 tiebreakers he faced. I would like to see how many clean forehands he hit, his forehand and serve (@66% is a pretty high number) was really on that day, but Rafa never looked like losing. Last year, i wrote, federer was lucky to get out of jail, he shouldnt have won that match, rafa had more groundstroke winners than federer and less unforced errors, this year, again the same! rafa is just a difficult matchup for federer, the only upperhand he has is on hardcourts,, other than that, rafa pretty much owns federer.
