I will be interested in seeing if the GC head down the talls path or included some midfielders with their early picks.

Swallow, Darling, Day
or
Swallow, Day, Benell/Gaff/Jacobs....

If you look at their current list, they already have quite a number of talls from last year (Albeit most probably won't make it, thought I reckon one or two might). They also get Steven May for free, so (Apart from picking up the best tall available) I reckon they would be silly not to start to chase as many good midfield types with most of their early picks.

I am still not 100% sure we can assume that they will not select two talls in their first 3 picks. As you said, not all talls make it and as we've noticed this year they can take 4-5 years to start showing their real worth.

If they put off recruiting quality talls, it could be a while before they have a quality big man group.

No doubt - all I am saying is that I reckon that they can bank on Ablett to be serviceable at FF and at least one of Weller, Joe Daye, Tippett or Sam Day (Assuming he is their early pick) to come up trumps later on. They then need to concentrate on guys that can get their forwards the ball.

Also I reckon they would know that with the picks that they have they can easily pick up an "equal second" tall with pick six, whereas there aren't many (if more than one) Harley Bennell packages in this draft.

Bennell is top 3. No question. Been the best in the champs.

Right now my top 5:

1.Swallow (...)
2.Bennell (Best in U18 champs hands easy)
3.Day (Best KPP)
4.Gaff (Quality)
5.Parker (Has been outstanding)

On Wallis. He is quality. Both F/S WBD picks will be good ones.

Darling will be the big slider. Rating him late 1st round the way he is performing.

has anyone heard of callum currie or tyrone ross of ballarat rebels if so do you thik they are chances of getting drafted?

Could any one tell me the KPP's, Pacey Mids and Small Forwards who would be around Pick 18? Who we might be able to pick up.

KPFs: Steven May (NT- possibly could get snapped up by GC), Lucas Cook (VIC - Have him going early teens), Jamie Solly (SA - Probably best available KPF if you went in that direction), Tom Lynch (VIC-KPF), Luke Mitchell (injured, could be 2nd round) *Could be amongst the KPFs available at pick 18*

Smalls (mid/f): Jayden Pitt (VIC - Would at this stage be my choice at your pick) and Josh Caddy (VIC) I think would be possible as mids/ forwards. Both will go around that selection. Have Pitt in the late teens at the moment and Caddy in the 20s.

I meant on the field :p

Hint: Not a KPP.
Has been compared to Luke Power. Utility who most likely will at AFL level play primarily midfield.
Very solid pick. Good work ethic and seems like a guy who will "make it". Safe but good selection.
4-6 range at this stage.
