Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

l should have chosen libba but have his mate in mitch wallis also have Altey.l thought he would better but its early on.i need to look at trading out lecrae and maybe a downgrade maybe get a frankin or someone like that.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I've got three options, any thoughts?

Option 1
Out: Rockliff, Everitt
In: Suckling, Bolton

Option 2
Out: Iles, Boak
In: Liberatore, Bolton

Option 3
Out: Harvey, Rockliff
In: Dawes, Bolton

Don't think Curnow can sustain current scores. I'm banking on him being the new Muston. Suckling is a flash in the pan, but could use him to ramp up to someone more consistent. Libba looks like he can at least tackle, lots of consistent points there.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

WOW there are some people on this page alone that have NFI!!!

Duncan too Cox... shit hey didn't realise he was a ruck too

Didn't check team before rd 1 to know Mzungu was out... well it wasn't exactly right before rd1

Stanleys MPP... he doesn't have MPP you goose

Funny as hell. Got a good chuckle dude. Don't you know the hack to switch any player you like?

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

You have to set the right rookies early. Making cash is the key to the game >

Out: Berwick, Altey

In: Libba, Curnow

Rioli out a pain but Darling or Matera to cover.

Is that code for "i need a reason to make my early trades look more legitimate"...good work...heck, I think I'm going to borrow this one and trade:

Coad > Dr Stanlove
Swallow > Deep Thoat

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

On friday I'm planning on trading in Curnow.

But who to trade out? Swallow (gives me an extra $70,000) or Bewick.

I already have Liberatore and Harris.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I'd trade out Bewick, Swallow will get better (cant lose by 119 or whatever it was every week)!

Mine: it seems the most popular cows this week are Curnow, Libba and Tapscott. Somehow I missed them all in my team and therefore plan to bring in 2 of them this week. Which 2????

I'm pondering the same thing myself, if i trade swallow to Curnow or Libba it will give me the cash to upgrade Montagna to Swan but i don't know if it's worth it. In your situation it depends on what you can do with that cash if your not desperate for it i'd trade Bewick out.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I got a few holes i have to fix.. my holes are BRUCE, DIDAK, EVERIETT

im thinking, hang onto bruce, get read of didak n everiett for swan n heppell, i should of done this at the start but i was confident in everiett, and getting didak, i duno what happened 2 me.. i knew he hasnt had the best pre season, but i just thought ah he will score 90s at worst, wasnt i wrong:confused:

2nd option was bruce and didak out for enright n a prem midfielder up to 520k.

thoughts???

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Options:

a) 2 trades - Atley > Curnow, Dixon > Tapscott
b) Do one of the above trades
c) Don't trade

Does anyone have a crystal ball?

I'd take option A if I was you mate, curnow and tapscott are only gonna rise in price so I'd jump on while they cost peanuts.

ok so im looking to upgrade boak to swan this round and will be able to do so but I will only 2k left in the kitty (I also have pendles but they are both just to good to leave out).

Another descision that I need to make is how to get tapscott in my side (already had curnow from the start). So my forward line is

goodes, roo, franklin, sylvia, fyfe, krakour, knights
(richardson, matera, darling)

So my question is how do i get him in there? straight swap for richardson or make some much needed cash by dropping knights, fyfe or krakour? its killing me I really want tapscott before his price shoots up.

Knights vs fyfe vs krakour vs richardson

I would really appreciate any help given guys, cheers. :thumbsu:

Out of those options, a straight swap for Richardson. The other options are just plain crazy! Knights has just had his bye!

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Is nobody worried about Curnow's job security?

Sure, he scored well in his first two games but that was against Richmond and Gold Coast. He'll have a much tougher time against Collingwood.

Also the Blues have some men to come back. Bower, O'Hailpin and Jamison are ready to come back and then there's the likes of Henderson, Collins, McLean and Joseph pushing for a spot. Then you still need room for Houlihan and Kreuzer. Lots of competition.

I said it in a previous post. If you have him, then great. But if you dont have him, there is considerable risk bringing him in now with a Pies game and Mclean back on board. If he goes missing in this game, there is every chance Mclean is back in next week.

Of course, if he is the next Barlow then its tears and tantrums for the rest of us!

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

gonna look at getting shane mckernan in but wanna have one more look at him.

two guys i'm a bit worried about are prestia and richardson up front.....

prestia looks a talent but can't see him doing much up front when GC struggle to get the ball up there.

True..but after Doggies they have Melb, Port, Ess and Lions. They should be able to rack up some ok scores in the Port/Lions games.

Yeah I get that, but the only reason I put them up as suggestions is for the pure fact that I want some cash in the kitty. :(

what suckling did to melbourne,is what he has been doing at box hill for 3 years.his body is now right, and by far the best and most damaging kick at hawthorn(including hodge),players will look for him to set up our play, make no mistake.just bought him today as a matter of fact.at worst his value will rise,i think he will add alot more value than that though.

What if he is injured at training???

Couldn't wait till Friday???

I'd keep the first two and hope they come good. I know I'm going to try to get Didak in once he bottoms out. Maybe downgrade Everitt to a rookie and hold the cash for starting your upgrades.

Most of those are talls. Yes I am concerned about his job security, but more from McLean, Joseph and Hadley rather than any combination of the talls. However I think he's done enough to put himself in the team above a number of others so hopefully we'll see him sticking around.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Robinson's form must also be a factor for Curnow - he's been just as good IMO and from a casual observers angle, seems equally tough to drop for McLean or Ellard, so he's not getting any favours there either.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Should I bring in Curow?

My Mid rookies are Heppell, Harris, Swallow, Liba, Gaff, Bewick.

I have Hibberd in the backline but he allows for MPP, plus he might come in this week with Myers to miss.

If you bring in Tapscott, at least you have extra coverage in your forward line, then all you need to do is weigh up Libba or Curnow in your midfield. Some believe Curnow has better job security can score higher, others believe Libba has better job security. I'm bias as I watch Libba every week, but I can't see him going out of the side any time soon.
