Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Yeah looking at that trade (Ward > Curnow) not 110% convinced but 'Cheryl' looks a money maker..

We have Lions today and the suns next week. I wouldn't be getting rid of Ward just yet.

And Curnow does have a bit of Muston about him, he hasn't played a top 10 team yet. Wait and see.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

L.Anthony to rookie
Todd goldstien to Cox
Not sure on which rookie have them
all except Libba

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I think i've cooled on the Curnow trade. All my other rookies are going well and I don't have any premiums that I want to downgrade.

Similar situation here my other rookies are all getting games, I have no midpricers to downgrade and won't be touching my premiums. Only viable trade looks to be Conca >> Curnow for me. Something to mull over this week.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Yeah forgot about Muston lol. Will be watching Ward today for sure. Wouldn't go offloading Anthony just yet though..

My thoughts pretty much. Traded out one of my premiums for Muston that year as well :o

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

It feels good having Curnow in my team from the start.
I did...until just before lockout

I'm thinking one of Atley/Bewick/Liberatore to Curnow depending on who gets named next week.

EDIT: Just realised North have the bye next week which makes it easier/harder? I don't know lol

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Thinking of downgrading L Anthony-Curnow then Knights to Dawes, thoughts?

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I probably wouldn't hold 500k on the bench for 3-4 weeks for the sake of 100k either. Who are your other mids Cleavy?

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I already have Selwood. Thanks for your input :thumbsu:

You could also consider Watson if he performs well today.

I probally won't make any trades this week but I am looking closely at Joel Corey. He has really has impressed me so far.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Hibberd to Curnow (Unless Hibberd picked, in which case I will consider saving my trades)

Then the plan is to trade Curnow to Ablett come GC's 2nd bye, and downgrade somewhere else.

Tbh i'm not sure how much i'd want GAJ this year. Assuming GC get flogged by 20 goals most weeks, i can't see him averaging anything more than 100...maybe 105. Doesn't get the cover like at Geelong or the easy kicks. I think there'll be better options.

Seriously considering this also. Don't see Hibberd playing for sometime and Curnow has alot of money to be made.

Although Curnow has yet to go up against an elite midfield; I don't see him getting past 70 against the pies next week imo.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Am set on going Duncan to Curnow to free cash up. Lose forward MPP, but won't need it as much as i still have Hibberd giving me Back MPP for crisis.

Should give me $210k in the bank without losing much point scoring, hopefully allowing me to go Swallow to Selwood after the geelong bye.

I wouldn't.

Wait and see on Anthony I think and Knights scored 80 odd rnd 1 at 238K so I don't quite know why you would want to offload.

I jumped the gun on Dawes last year and it hurt. Granted he looks a better player this year but when your competition is Port and Nth in the 1st 2 rounds. I'm not too sure why everyone is getting carried away with him. At 365K, you would want him to be a keeper. If you think he's going to be a keeper, than go for it.

Just my opinion, good luck

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

L.Anthony to Curnow has some merit, don't know why you would want to go knights to dawes

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I hate sideways trading but Atley to Curnow has to be considered / done.

I feel the same way, but if he turns out to be the next Barlow I'll be kicking myself for not bring him in. I'll wait til the teams are named for next week and see.

I agree, but unfortunately North Melbourne have the bye next round. It be annoying to persevere with Atley, only to find out he'd been dropped the following week. Meanwhile Curnow's price had skyrocketed.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

McGlynn is really starting to annoy me. But I'm not sure if I should trade him out for Goodes/O'Keefe just yet.

Might just wait a few more weeks.

Just as I type that, he kicks 2. Def not wasting a trade now.

might do conca to curnow instead.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Jolly is starting really slow and not going into the forward line as much so far this season. Defs trading him already have cox, smith and derickx. Possible candidates are Ryder, Otten, Jamar. Any other suggestions?
