Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Curnow the sub this week? Named last on the bench.

He was named on the bench last week too.

I'm pretty happy, was thinking I would have to bring Heppell in for either Coad or Brodie Smith but both have been named. Niiiice.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Really want Tapscott, very classy player, who do you think is the best rookie to trade him out for - Darling, Richardson or Matera?

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I've got too much on tomorrow arvo so made my trades hiberd>libba and gamble to Tapscott. Very standard

Re: Help ME!

You seriously traded out a non-injured premium after just 2 games? Anyway, either Toy to Newman or Vickery to Cox is the way to go. Toy dropped this week.

None. Richardson is the only one worth considering but he will end up averafing 60-70 anyway.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I am thinking of trading Foley and J Kennedy for a mid like Chapman or Bartel and Curnow. THoughts?

EDIT I would have enough money for Swan and Curnow, with still 80K in the bank. Think i need to do this

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

really for this week i would like to make 3 trades, but i have to pick two from:

1. Everitt out for McKernan/Suckling/Lower

2. Conca out for Liberatore/Curnow

3. Sumner out for Tapscott

I will definitely be doing #3, however I'm not sure about 1 or 2. Obviously Liberatore and Curnow's price is going to rise dramatically, so I'm leaning to get one of them in. However I have heard rumours that liberatore is going to be the sub this week. What do you guys reckon?

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Traded out Fyfe for Tapscott then upgraded Rockliff to Swan. Really wished had started the season with Swan, now 2 mid price punts out for MVP and rookie. Hopefully the rookie holds up the deal.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Jolly to who, got cox already

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Do I go Atley > Curnow, I already have Liberatore or just let Curnow go.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

thinking yarran>tapscott
kennedy>swan

thinking that in the long run will improve my team by about 50 points a week. also pretty frustrated about trading out two mid-priced punts after 2 rds, swear i'll stick to the premium rookie idea next year.

how long is it likely to take the average rookie to reach his peak price? rd8/rd9?

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I've already gone Atley > Curnow..

I'm now stuck on C.Bruce. I just don't think I wanna take his drop, and if it ever comes time to piss him off, it'll cost more down the track than it would now. Like I could actually pocket 20k by bringing in Enright this week.. But I just dunno........ Should I?

:D

Re: Help ME!

Vickery to Cox is your best bet. Toy will get games - bit stiff this week.

and you seriously created an entire thread just for your team?

Yep, Round 3 Trading thread is where this belongs.

Bruce is a season keeper, his price drop shouldn't matter. I think he will get better as he gets used to his new club anyway. Getting rid of him seems like a wasted trade. Besides its only a matter of time before Enright starts getting a hard tag.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Waters for Stevens, Suckling or Bob Murphy? Already have Otten in my backline...

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

I'd give Suckling a shot, or maybe even just downgrade to a decent performing rookie (eg Heppel, Lower)

My problem is in my forward line:
Riewoldt N, Franklin, Goodes, Higgins, Knights, Petrie, Krakouer (Darling, Richardson, Matera)

Really want to bring in Tapscott, but the only player I can see myself trading is Petrei, but even then I'm pretty reluctant, as he's only played one game, and scored 60 in the forward line against Collingwood..

What d'you reckon??

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Atley > Curnow, is it worth it even though I have Liberatore?

I'm Thinking Bruce to suckling. Risky, but will give me a POD, $280k in the bank, and I'm not convinced Bruce will get back to where he was. I also don't have Heppel, but just trying something different and hope Heppel has a slow month scoring wise.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Matera out - Tapscott in?

I know its a bit of a sideways trade, but surely Tapscott's ceiling and upside is going to be much higher with Melbourne likely to win quite a few more games? Won't have any Gold Coast forwards anymore, but that doesn't bother me.

Harvey out - Pavlich in?

Just toying with this idea and thinking it's probably a bad trade, but just wanted any opinions on it

Horrible trade. Boomer is a gun

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

NEED HELP

backs - goddard, deledio, gibbs, grimes, otten, lower, duigan (brodie smith, batchelor, stanley)

mids - judd, pendles, boyd, selwood, j p kennedy, harris (libba, bewick, irons)

already going Curnow IN, Kennedy OUT.

also picking up DYSON HEPPEL.
questions are
a) do i pick him up as mid or def? leaning to def as it is the weaker line although i would like the MPP flexibility

b) If through def - do i trade for smith OR batchelor OR stanley?

They are all named ON FIELD this week which makes the decision that much tougher.

(If through mid - for Irons or Bewick?)

Thanks guys

Whats a POD?

Hmm, definite idea though. I don't even have Lower so maybe I could go Bruce > Lower... I'm just not sure I'm content hanging onto Bruce. It might cost me a trade early to get rid of him. But I think it'll cost me points throughout the season as well as money later in the season to keep him.

Re: Round 3 Trades & Trading Strategies

Have Swan, Judd, and Selwood in the Mids and want another premium. Can afford Pavlich, Embley, or Bolton.. Who should I grab? Or take Curnow and upgrade later?
