i'm going to bail on Atley... big question however... curnow or libba!

job security is all i'm looking for... anyone shed some light?

Seems to be the million dollar question.
I've been tossing it up all day and think im going to go with Curnow.
because:
1. he doesn't have a by till rd8 (libba has his next week)
2. i dont rate the players people are saying are competing for his job..im mean mclean is ok, but over a performing young player, im backing curnow. If anything the players competing with libba are just as good (or bad which ever way you want to look at it).
3. i think Libbas draw gets quite difficult after the bye
4. I am thinking i'll want to jump on selwood when he bottoms out and i think curnow will go up in price quicker(due to not having a bye till rd8) to help me achieve that

Just my opinions and reasoning, dont think you can go too wrong with either but hope it helps

ive got Polec in my team, should i keep him and trade Atley to Libba????? or eff off Polec???????????? Could even go Polec to Curnow and Atley to Libba??????....im gonna stick with Conca in my team too, heard some people are pulling the pin already lol

Tapscott is doing my absolute head in. My fwd line is Roo, Franklin, Goodes, Green, Knights, Petrie, Kraks (Richardson, Matera, Darling)

Ive used no trades and am 7,700 in the rankings. Trade Matera or Richardson for him??

Btw Id have Libba in front of curnow but only slightly, toss a coin really. You probably do need one of them though

I would probably pull the trigger on BOTH and be happy with the profits...hold off on the trigger later in the year.
Important to get it right early and fix mistakes as soon as possible for a smoother long term season.

I'm in the same boat as you mate.

I need to get tapscott in my team, currently have 2000 in the bank and would preferably like to free up some cash although that may not be an option.

So tapscott needs to come in for 1 of matera, richardson, knights and fyfe.

Which 1 do I drop??

Bring him in now for either Richardson or Petrie. I'd say Richardson because i really would not be surprised if he was dropped following the bye !

I have Bewick, Harris, Heppell, Krakour, Swallow.

I'm pretty happy with all outside Bewick who hasn't really been disappointing either.
Do i bite the bullet and trade out bewick for Curnow ?

Is it worth the time of day really or would i be wasting my time.

My other rookies are Lower, Otten, Stanley, Toy, Duigan and Smith.

Smith and Keefe

Richardson, Matera, Darling, Tapscott and Knights

Are any of these guys worth scrapping ?
Any other rookies in the forward or back positions i should consider ?

Boak has really disappointed me to date is he at all worth trading out now before prices change or do i bite my kip ?

Only if you start him. Will still make shit loads if he scores 40-50. Not as much as you would like but still go up nicely.

Na mate, I reckon u gotta stick with Knights, looks like a decent mid-pricer who should average about 85-90 i reckon..

My problem is in my forward line:
Riewoldt N, Franklin, Goodes, Higgins, Knights, Petrie, Krakouer (Darling, Richardson, Matera)

Really want to bring in Tapscott, but the only player I can see myself trading is Petrie (perhaps Richardson, though he may have slightly better job security than Tapscott??), but even then I'm pretty reluctant, as Petrie's only played one game, and scored 60 in the forward line against Collingwood..

What d'you reckon??

Is it worth it? Knights has played well enough in his one game so far, he should increase to that 350-400k eventually which is probably what we wanted, can you see Dawes being a keeper I can't he'll probably end up being like Cloke.

My dilemma, already gone Richardson -> Tapscott should I go Conca->Libba or Bewick->Libba? Conca has a much higher JS however he isn't scoring as well and I would make 60k off that.

Most people would say Judd, but I have a feeling Murphy will have a bigger year.

Knights in one game is only averaging 79 while Dawes is averaging around the 120 mark. Although it's likely Dawes won't keep that score up but then again Knights could eventually get up to the 90+ average bracket. By doing so he'd go up a lot in price.

I'm concerned about Curnow's job security, however he would only need to play for a further 5 or 6 weeks..

I need help with a possible trade. Is Robbie Gray worth keeping, or do i trade him for the impressive Chris Dawes ? Who has a breakeven of -10 and averaging 125.

It depends if you want to upgrade waters or downgrade him, IMO atley to curnow would be a better move as I can see him improving his score, but that said tapscott is a jet, they a definetely trades worth making.

If you were to upgrade waters I would say to 1 of these in preference order

1. Gibbs - he is a must
2. deledio
3. enright
4. grimes

If you were to downgrade him then 1 of these

1. otten
2. duigan
3. lower
4. mckernan

Hibberd > Libba

Im leaning towards option 2
