Anyway, onto the WAFL:

Weedon, Stevenson and McGovern all named for Claremont's clash with Peel. Hamp still in the reserves and Neates still out injured. Lycett named at CHF for Peel.

Brown, Stevens, Dalziell and Dick all playing in the Freo derby. Papertalk in the reserves.

Strijk will play for the Cardies against Subi unless he's a late inclusion tonight. No Mascoulis it seems.

Smith, McInnes and Tunbridge in Perth's side to play the Royals.

Swans have the bye so Newman has a week off, hopefully his knee will be right to go the following week

I like that we have so many playing WAFL this week. I have a feeling that although we had a win there will be a few changes.

I really want Ash Smith in our defence and Brad Dick in our Forward line, hopefully the 2 of them can have blinders today in the WAFL.

I would dearly love to see Smith put in a great game this week. We seriously need an injection of pace to the team.

Problem is Smith never unleashes that pace in games, would be a great line breaker if he ever does.

True, its not great but he was always a raw and inconsistent prospect coming from a long way back. I think the call on a 2nd year will be made on whether they perceive him to have the required attitude to make it at AFL level. He has plenty of athleticism.

Thanks. Just hadn't seen him play (living in Vic you get very little WAFL coverage, strange I know) and was hoping there was something beyond the stats that indicated he had chance at making it.

not great stats for ressies. Yeah I know, they are just stats

Yeah it's underwhelming to say the least, both need to get a serious rocket up them if they plan on making it

Nah Claremont are the Richmond of the WAFL.

Same song, mascot, jumper (basically) and theres 8 teams that finish below them ;).

Anyone know where Stevens was being played? HFF?

I only caught the last quarter when I got home, but it seemed like he was playing mostly on ball. Played a good last quarter too, one of his passes was a lovely sizzler inside 50.
