Pretty good calculations HappyChappy

also shows our maturity

none of this going through the season undefeated stuff

glad we travel to the West first off,so its not really a road game.We could have the squad over there training a few days earlier

Love it! Thinking like a true Geelong supporter :thumbsu:

all bets off with otto's retirement.

Gee, you'd think we were a one man side.

I know things will be tougher without the big pill at the club, but as long as the likes of Scarlo, Bartel, Enright, Chappy, Selwood and SJ are still at the club, we'll still be thereabouts.

They are just going to have to work their butts off fast tracking Dawson.
But it's not like he is a 2011 draftee.

He's been there a bit. West has improved. Vardy will provide some chop out. Although I don't expect him to be influential in 2012.
The loss of Ottens 'could' be our undoing in a big final where the rucks have an influence. Not sure it's going to have a massive effect on the H&A games.

If they can get Dawson up to speed the West, Simpson, Vardy combo should be good going forward for a number of years.

I had us down for 18 wins with Otto in the side,I don't still think we can achieve that now.
So take out say 3 close ones I think were more looking around 15 wins,I had a little more to say in the Era thread post 14 as to my reasoning.

I think the draw is all right. Few tricky games to start the year but nothing outrageous.
I have always thought (in a 22 game season) that if the boys go 5-2, 6-2, 5-2 over a period of 7,8,7 games they finish 16-6 and more than likely somewhere near the top. The past five years we have exceeded this. This year I believe that 16-6 will be on the money. And likely top two finish.

Your not wrong, I thought I read some where a while ago that they were trying to make sure no club played GWS and GC twice? Looks like they failed.

The only way of doing that would be to give them each a 17 round year. Someone's got to play them twice. As mentioned, will be the bottom 8 clubs that do.

Yeah, right.

Just like they were when Gaz headed north & Bomber became "over [that] job".

If nothing else was learned in 2011, it should be that this club is very adept at adjusting to the inevitable aging and turnover of very good players/ coaches.
