Re: Trent Richardson Highlight tape wow man

Interesting logic. It's wrong, but still interesting.

We would have traded up from 37 to get Weeden anyway.

So you admit they reached for Weeden?

And if McCoy was such a dead man walkiing why wasn't he being shopped around before the selection.

Re: Trent Richardson Highlight tape wow man

Because their GM said on camera immediatley after the pick that the player they were targeting was taken a selection or two earlier.

Sorry, I meant how would you know that McCoy would be our week one starter and we wouldn't take Weeden.

Re: Trent Richardson Highlight tape wow man

I trust Heckert's opinion.

What has he done to earn that trust?

Statements like "In Belichick We Trust" or "In Ozzie We Trust" make sense because they have a proven track record. I can't think of too much that would earn such blind faith in Heckert besides being the GM of your team

Im starting to think that you didn't see many Browns games last year and are severely overrating McCoy.

How did I admit that? I said we would have traded up from 37 to get him.

Why trade your starting QB before the draft? Unless you want to tell the world who your target is? That's stupid. Plus, Colt would be a better back up than Seneca anyway. So I'd be keeping him.

Cool. Put it this way, can the Browns afford to spend that high a pick (even if it was a 2nd rounder) marginally upgrading the QB position with a 29 year old starter in the division they play in?

As I said the Browns draft strategy is a mystery to me.

Re: Trent Richardson Highlight tape wow man

Niners have holes too and the aim is to fill them with starters. Especially first round choices. Jenkins is a nice player but do they really need another wideout and who they could've got by moving up in the second round, or another similar wr sitting put in round two.

Its the same kind of issue as what's being fingered at the browns. Niners draft strategy misuse of draft value why didn't they trade down and acquire an extra pick or move up for someone like decastro. Mystery.

Traded up from 37 to where? 29? 31? Where did the Browns end up taking him?

He had a good draft last year - including Sheard who people thought was a reach at the time. Did the same thing the previous year with TJ Ward. He found our two starting offensive guards in the third and fifth rounds, so I trust him when it comes to offensive linemen.

Of course I'll be somewhat biased, but he hasn't done anything for me not to trust him.

Not sure GG which player the 49ers could have selected at 30 who would be a projected starter in 2012....with maybe, the exception being RG.

If you watched the NFC Championship game last year you would have seen the rubbish that got rolled outat receiver. The 49ers are not going to leave that to chance again.

Eagles trade with the Packers- their upcoming second round pick for the Packs- #59- and their fourth round pick

Ok I understand what your saying I think the argument is though that it's not a marginal upgrade, it's a massive one. Time will tell.

Maybe 23? Who knows.

Oh well, I'm happy with the draft. You're confused. But that's not my problem.

Very earth moving 'cracks in the ground' selection by the Patsies...did BB go to the bathroom while they took this guy?

When is OLB Lavonte David gonna be picked?

A truer word has never been written!

Niiice pick up by the Packers... the urgency to trade up and nab a projected First rounder in Worthy has paid off. :thumbsu:

Personnaly, had the 49ers traded up for Castro I would have turned off the TV and said the front office job was done.

Apparently Baalke had Jenkins targeted all along. My real concern with this administration picking a WR of any type is it has been the one position they have been unable to hit the mark on.

hmmm, I'd prefer OT and move Baker around, but that just brought our run blocking up to that of 2 years ago before the loss of Dahl.
