Still does not gazump a kicker in the first! A good kicker, but still.

That's what I thought as soon as the pick came through. I wonder if Gene Smith got spooked that someone would take him in the 4th as the Jags pick in the 4th got traded to Tampa in the Blackmon deal.

Have been out at local footy all day and am now just catching up on what took place in Rounds 2 and 3.

Ecstatic withe Bucs draft thus far. Barron, Martin and David are all great picks. Kudos to Mark Dominick and Greg Schiano. Outstanding job so far. Minnefield or Dennard would top it all off.

What do you all think of the Bills draft so far? Thoughts on Gilmore, Glenn and Graham? What else do the Bills need?

We should have a really good defence this year considering we now have Mario Williams, Anderson signed in FA to compliment Kyle Williams and Dareus. So the Bills will definitely be playing a 4-3?

I think Buffalo's had a tremendous draft.

Gilmore is the 2nd best Corner in the draft and addresses a big need in the bills secondary.Really makes their defense close to complete.

Cordy Glenn could have been a top 20 pick, so to get him at 41 for probably the 2nd best Guard in the draft really strengthens the O line and Glenn starts opening day.

Graham is an interesting receiver, hes raw but he does have good speed, stretches a D and keeps the safeties in the secondary which will Help Stevie Johnson.

If im a Buffalo fan its definitely realistic to expect at WORST a .500 season next year.

IN rounds 4-7 I'm guessing they look for one more line backer, maybe Ronnell Lewis from Oklahoma would be a suitable pick. Safety Markelle Martin will also be a good pick if they can land him, one of the BPA and still a position of need.

Glenn also fills the hole that Bell leaves in being signed by the Eagles. But does he play the same side as Bell?

I think and LB and possibly a QB should be drafted with the next few picks. If Fitzpatrick goes down we don't have much besides Brad Smith and Thigpen.

Personally, I think it's been a bit of a mixed bag.

I know that Gilmore was coveted by a few of the teams picking early in the 1st round, but on the other hand I don't actually rate him all that highly as a CB. He'll need to play in a zone scheme imo because his hips are too tight (i.e. he can't be back peddling and then quickly flip his hips around and run very well like you need to be able to in man coverage).

Glenn was someone I was hoping the Ravens might have taken at #29, but as a LG, not a LT. I don't think he has the movement skills necessary to deal with speed rushers in the NFL.

TJ Graham was a reach, pure and simple.

And yes, the Bills are definitely running with a 4-3 base defense, most likely with Anderson at RDE and Williams at LDE

OK draft boffins, is it weird the Redskins have taken a second QB, behind RGIII, in the fourth round? Or does it simply mean they won't have Grossman beyond next season?

That's what I was thinking GG, but Mayock's take is that Cousins is well prepared, or has the psyche, to be a career back up and the Redskins will get some trade value out of him.

Finally an OLB at pick 119. :)

Brooks is an interesting selection since we already drafted a CB in Gilmore with our first pick.

How about we swap you a CB for a QB, we have a couple of them as well, although I would have rathered Boykin. :p

Hoping Moore gets taken at 199......Just so I can say "Next Brees? How about the next Brady :p"

fwiw, 162-163 is looking like that might be when now.

What I'm finding most amusing

Pick 34: TE
Pick 64: TE
Pick 92: WR
Pick 136: DT

Colts really are trying to emulate the Texans of 2002 arn't they?

Ill tip that the pick after this, the Raiders will stop the slide of George Iloka and take him.

He's the sort of pick they normally would take.........In the 2nd round, do it in memory of Al dammit!

NFLN questioning the Redskins and Seahawks with their selections of Cousins and Wilson, in terms of a too-deep QB depth chart, and how are any of all these players are going to get any reps.
Maybe Chadwiko was being realistic in the Redskins place.

Chucking the dummy and throwing all rules about drafting out the window after pick 2.
