15. Collingwood - Will be coached by an imbecile, enough said.

You have the knowledge of an imbecile yourself. Collingwood will drop no more than 6 games, possibly 4. That's how good they are. Have fun being the 18th player on the field "rioli is a hack".

Injuries

Scullys knee to restrict him to 15 or less games
Dangerfield to get concussion
Ruckman to get severely injured due to a tunneling incident

i know alot wont agree with this but hey its my opinion :)

1st: Geelong: they do have a lot of veterans on there list but there young boys are very good!
2nd: Carlton: Will have a better year with injury's having learned some lessons this year
3rd: Hawthorn: if there list is healthy and Mitchell stays they will do well!
4th: Collingwood: New Coach and a devastating lose will be rough on them, there lesser players will let them down
5th: Fremantle: feel as though they will jump back up.They have all the talent and with sandi and pav getting along they really have to make there move soon
6th: West Coast: being this high is generous IMHO will not get the miracle run with injury's and there fixture will be alot harder after finishing 4th
7th: Essendon: natural improvement into there midfield and talls will see them move up another spot not far of breaking through
8th: North: had some good performances against quality sides!
9th: Sydney: could switch with north really they rarely miss the 8 as we all know
10th: St Kilda: sliding
11th: Richmond: not ready to break into the 8 yet will start weak again and finish strong as usual
12th: Dogs : 12 will be no better then 11
13th: Adelaide: same as the dogs
14th: Brisbane: have some good young kids but with a few departures from the club and browny ageing don't see them much higher unfortunately
15th: Gold Coast: improving
16th: Melbourne: just dont see them getting any where
17th: GWS: seem to be putting together a fairly mature list will win 3 or 4 games
18th: Port adelaide: I hate them :P

Premiers: Geelong
Runners up: Carlton :(
Brownlow: Murphy
Coleman: Franklin
MVP: Bartel
Nab Cup: Carlton
The "Richmond wins late games every year" theory has been quashed... That is the last time I will say it!

Wow! I'm surprised at how many have the Swans in the 8 this year.

LOL at Richmond supporters predicting the Tigers will make the 8.

Hardwick will be sacked by round 18!!
As long as we draw Sydney at the g, we will only need to find another 10.5 wins, and unlike you, we won't get GWS twice.

Richmond are going to make the finals are they?
Read thread, without rose colored glasses, and take note that around 35-40% of people have us there.

I'm not being biased, but I honestly don't see Collingwood finishing lower than 3rd next season.

It's laughable that you have to justify that... You will definitely be there... I think 2nd.

Agree, though it's not only Sydney supporters. Essendon fans seem to hate when their side is predicted to miss the 8 and generally North and Saints supporters don't deal with it well either.
A young team jumps in every year, and someone has to fall out, not in a fantasy ladder, but in the real ladder. Look at dogs n saints this year.

Now, I'll give this a crack, might edit it after trade week when GWS give us jaeger ;)...

1. Hawthorn- they are ready, and finally will deliver what the 2008 premiership had many of us expecting.

2. Collingwood- although they've already won one, the old adage "you have to lose one to win one", will be with the pies.

3. Carlton- they are more than good enough, as they showed when the my nearly knocked off the premiers, sorry warnock.

4. Geelong- they will do enough to make the four, for one last tilt at the chocolates.

5. West Coast- they will steady, but won't severly drop off as has been suggested.

6. North Melbourne- common consensus is that they are ready to go, and Scott isn't a bad coach. They will improve for now, but I can't see them cracking the four... That's a big step.

7. Sydney- unlike this year, they will win most of their home games, and do enough against weak opposition, including 2 x GWS.

8. Richmond-if he is the man I think he is, hardwick will thrive under pressure, and his system has involved no shortcuts. Martin deledio and Cotchin will carry this team, with riewoldt.
9. Essendon- I don't think they're bad, I just don't think they're that good. They played for hirdy early on, knocked off a tired Geelong with inside knowledge of that clubs weakness'. Watson and Hurley are going to be over worked, over used, and tired by round 20. I'd love to see Richmond play them in a final though.

10. Fremantle- will be good, eventually, but they need to be 'loyal' and give Ross Lyon time, besides, all those injuries, it will take time, I think they will go 2-5/6 and win late games as their 2016 grand final team begins to gel.

11. Melbourne- new coach, need a new captain, a lot of adjusting, will be better in 2013, I think they just need to tread water after a horror winter. Neil Craig is a very important signing.

12. St Kilda- I think they are finished, sorry saints fans, unless the new coach can reinvent riewoldt, and Goddard will be out the door when free agency kicks in. I hope they aren't a rabble though. The longer they go without a naming a coach, the harder it's going to be for him, he needs all the time he can get.

13. Adelaide- a lot like Melbourne... Big changes, I think they will be better in 2013, considering the changeover period and their truly exciting new home.

14. Footscray- you know how people say Geelong are too old and too slow, well they were right about it being a prominant top 4 team, just the wrong one, a lot of older guys, another that is changing the guard, with coaching. They looked disinterested, and they have lost a ruckman, a brownlow medalist and a full forward and a former premiership captain in the last 15 months, add lake to that, and I think the cracks will start to be pretty damn obvious. Dare I say it, it could be a long 5-10 years for the dogs, they've picked a really bad time to be down the bottom. I fear for d smorgan, he is a joke. Running that proud club into the ground.

15. Gold Coast- young and developing, like Brisbane this year, will match it every now and then, but still need 1000's of hours together, in the gym, eating drinking and injecting protein.

16. Brisbane- feel kinda sorry for vossy, made all those trades in 09 trade week and had his lions 5-0 in 2010, only for injuries alcohol and age to derail their season, and crush their confidence, and nothing has changed, more injuries, stars leaving, and poor old jonathon "karaoke" brown is now into his 30's. Lots of promise... Just need to hope that everyone can gel, and try and stay injury free. They will do a west coast from this position in a year or two.

17. Port Adelaide- they will show promise, blood lots of kids, essentially a GC/GWS, starting from near scratch. They won't be as bad next year, but won't win too many games.

18. GWS- refer to the GC model of 2010, only difference: when they get up there, they may last longer, having targeted younger unconteacted stars than GC (ablett bock Brennan vs scully ward Davis).

NAB Cup - North Melbourne def Collingwood. As number 1 ranked team, and are forced to wear away strip.

Premiers: hawthorn, over Geelong. And cats fans will have this sour taste in their mouths that, even after this amazing era, will be there until they win another one.

Brownlow - Trent Cotchin, polls well, and if we win 12-13 games he's a big chance, especially considering this is only his 2nd full pre season (fingers crossed), and it is slightly biased.

Coleman -
Buddy: 90
Riewoldt: 82
Cloke: 78
Kennedey: 69
Pavlich: 65

Norm smith: sam Mitchell: sweet vindication after everything.

Wow that took way too long, please give me feedback, I think I was pretty unbiased in this (bar cotch).

And as a side note, cannot believe rocky balboa hasn't come on and predicted us for 18th and the dogs to beat us by 179 points yet.

P.s: one more prediction; aflpa threaten lockout, before Dimitriou and co cave. Unlike the NBA and NFL.

Your bumping a thread that is half correct half incorrect? He got the Essendon finsihing position wrong however Voss 1st year as coach is better than Hirds and put him in front in the coaching race.

No i didn't.

I bumped a post, he said he would bump when Essendon finish bottom 2! and that he is NEVER WRONG.

Voss >> Hird as a player. Voss >> Hird as a 1st year coach.

Actually, given that we’re now nearly halfway thorough his first trade week, and Hird is yet to propose trading Hurley and our first round pick for Lou Richards, I reckon he might be sneaking in front of Vossy’s first year as coach.
