If mummy joins hawthorn, and Hampson likely to join richmond, is there a ruck good enough to warrant us tabling something up? Warnock would probably stay if Hampton left. Do we go for longer? This would make us look even more silly as we could have drafted him two years ago.
We should be smashing it at the trade table as we hold the most currency out of any club... Draft picks and the best young talent... What every other club wants.... What the hell have our recruiters been doing? They should have lined a number of players up months ago, but it's sounding like we put most of our eggs in the buddy basket.

Sounds like Tristan got the story way wrong and what really has happened is that Jaksch is contracted until 2014 but now likely to sign a contract extension now that we don't have buddy

"Shiel, 20, who finished fourth to Jeremy Cameron in this year's best-and-fairest award, is understood to have told the Giants he wants to return home after 33 games in two years".

Fair to say Denham's record is far from rock solid but maybe for once his onto something, only time will tell.

The GIANTS have responded to a report in today's Australian newspaper about Dylan Shiel. General Manager Football Graeme Allan said Shiel, who has played 33 games and finished fourth in the Kevin Sheedy Medal, was a required player. "Dylan is a very talented and highly valued player who is contracted till the end of 2015 and will be remaining with the GIANTS," Allan said. ​

I wonder for how long we will have to deal with "news" telling us every trade period our players are wanting out. That's 2 in 1 day.

But as good as that pick is, Shiel and Adams came 4th and 8th respectively in our B&F and I'd be reticent to trade them both to one club for one pick, especially the Dees who are trying to break out of the cellar at the same time...

Shiel will be very hard to get anyway considering he's entering a two year extension signed in May 2012.

p.s. Just saw a guy running down the main street in Parramatta in a D-Rose jersey. Maybe it's fate for this deal to go down?
