R1: Tom Bellchambers
R2: Matthew Lobbe

R3: Dan Gorringe
R4: Dan Currie

Also have Josh Jenkins in the forward line. Thoughts?
None of your rucks are DPPs, so you can't switch Jenkins in if you wanted to.

I'd put Rowe in at R4 instead of Currie, seeing as Rowe is at least as likely as Currie to get games, but he'll give you the versatility to switch Jenkins into the ruck if you want to.

I know that but I was aiming at upgrading to a DPP in the ruck during the first month or so of the season.

Tossing up between Gorringe, Currie, Rowe and Blicavs for the final two spots, too bad four can't fit into two.

Well, considering that Rowe and Blicavs are both DPPs, technically you could get all four of them into your squad.

No point Blicavs as he has no equal.
He does if you want to cash out a mid field rookie at some stage but don't have a new rookie to bring in immeadiately on the bubble.

You could then move a non-playing bottom dollar ruck, to ruck 4.

I'm talking down the track if we see him getting games every now and then and he scores decently enough to be bench cover for the mids.

I don't see Blicavs playing senior footy a lot in 2013. Once McIntosh, West, Vardy and Simpson are back fit, he'll go behind them in the pecking order. I'm surprised that Geelong aren't considering throwing either Pods or Mitch Brown in the ruck, as I think he'll get outclassed on Monday. He's lucky he's playing Hale and Bailey and not Cox and Naitanui.

But I hope to be wrong as I think his development is one of the more remarkable football stories in some time.

This ruck thing is breaking my balls big time.

I've found its the most changed area in my squad all preseason. Haven't settled yet and will most likely cramming in with 2mins to lockout...
I'm already taking my Cox like a man. Will more than likely roll the dice on Lewy and hope one of my young bucks can cover him for a week or two.

I was told an hour ago that Berger was back in this week? I can't keep up.

even if he is in, is he a good pick?? for him to rise in price what does he need to score? I simply cannot see him getting full game time (especially with Martin and Longer), nor making a full impact (will take about 3-4 weeks to gain match fitness at least)
Have planned without him the entire time and won't be having him (I think:confused:)

Yeah of course he will, when fit he's a mile their #1. I just can't get him in before the season now. I'm set up around rookie rucks... but if he gets a 70,80 the next two weeks and looks somewhat fit I will have to find a spot for him before he starts hitting the 110's which he will IF he stays on the park. He is by far the biggest bargain across any line. His break even will be around 55 he can get that on his ear. I don't subscribe to the full game time bit, when he's not in the ruck he will be resting forward as you cant afford to have the big guys sitting on the pine for 5 minutes at a time.

fair points - i do agree on the 3rd game bubble scenario -reckon that has serious merit, guess we'll know at 6pm tonight

Might take a punt on Zac Smith, worse comes to worse i'll trade him out for NicNat after he inevitably loses some value when he comes back.

looney burger was not on the plane this morning to melb - fair chance he wont b playing
This whole saga with Luey just reminds me why it is such a gamble selecting injury prone players.

Even if he does get on the park, there is a good chance we will have a Sandi situation again, when everyone brings him in and 2 games later he goes down.

It seems that he is always going to be one of those players that tempts, but cant delivery for enough of the season to make him relevent.

I had him all pre season, but the fact he went down again, and is likely to miss round 1, I have very little confidence he can hang around long enouh for me to be comfortable bringing him in.

People shouldn't really be struggling at this stage with what to do with Leunberger, he has been in doubt for round 1 for the past 3 weeks.

Cox fwd, Rowe in Rucks.
Have Roughy as R1 & tossing up between Goldy +$100k, Giles,+$100k & Maric for R2.
Little help?
