TLedge had fair few Hammy injuries during his first year as well, I do think he should be playing regular football in his 3rd year though..

yeh agree, if he hasnt played senior football this year, it surely will have to be an issue come the end of the year when the tough calls are made. i guess it depends on how many of the older players we delist and how many players we bring in.

eventually a call will have to be made on some of the older, younger crop that has come through to make way for more talent

Yeah but Newnes and Wright are not midfielders, jones is finished and Curren is a rookie. Ross is a head of him but only because they are different players.

I think it is Steven that is ahead of him and that is it.

I am being particular with my assessment because I see Armo as a big midfielder (Ledger small) and Dal is also taller and in my book an outside player these days. he should be HBF with Newnes on the ball instead of HBF.

Sorry - what I mean is that on our list - Steven, Ledger and Curren are all essentially smaller inside players. I think the game is moving away from smaller insides so Ledger is behind Steven who is BOG at the moment.

From memory I don't think it was that bad, it was late in the year so they just shut him down.

I'd love to know why he can't get a gig. Everyone else has had a go except for him, really strange situation. Wish someone in the media would ask the more specific questions about selection rather than the easy "where's Kosi" type ones. How can we get a bit of a ground swell going.

Said that we're into Frawley in a pretty big way. Obviously Brown is no challenge now that he is out of contract, so we've set ourselves for Frawley. We are hell-bent on not having anyone suitable for FB for the forseeable future.

What concerns me is what if we do after Frawley and Melbourne won't trade him (or we don't agree to a deal) and then, because we've gone after Frawley, instead of him, Mitch Brown says "up your bum" to us and no longer wants to come here and we end up with no-one suitable for FB for yet another season.

I have no idea why we are going for contracted players.. Get someone like Mitch Brown this year and snag James Frawley via FA next year.

Surely we would not trade our low pick. Neither Frawley or Brown are worth anything like pick 3 or 5. Late second round at best and nothing for Brown he is a free agent

Frawley will cost a bit IMO, and Brown isn't a FA....

Is out of contract, one of Pelchens prodigies, No.3 pick in the same draft as Dale Thomas, just been ruined by injury. I see him as a long term replacement for Joey/Dal and fits the age bracket we are looking at..
31 disposals and 2 goals in the VFL on the weekend would suggest he is getting back to his best
personally I think he would be a very good get, lets not forget he did a Hannebery in 08 almost snatching the Norm Smith...

mainly outside i would say but i dont think he is one to shirk a contest. good in traffic as well!

Could be one of those "Fringe" type Free Agents that could be a decent pick up, Would love to get him and he turns out like Roberton!!

Frawley will cost too much for what he is; another undersized KPD. He might have great abilities, but no one has the ability to grow 10cm to match the likes of Patton, Daniher, et al.

The reality is that Roo and others in their gen won't see us climb back up. We need to set up the next line rather than worry about the immediate.

I'd previously wondered about him. Didn't see the point to be honest. Is he better than Farren Ray? Dean Polo? Maybe a little but what's the point?
