As a Geelong, and sometimes surfcoast resident, I can't say I enjoy Friday night games in melbourne

Which is exactly why I didnt whinge about it!

I would love to live down the Surf coast one day, but the drive back to Melbourne (forget public transport- how long does the bus take to do the GOR- 3 hours?!?!) would be a massive pain.

Not only that it says "**** it we don't care who we play". Rather than we are scaredy pants.

And winning form going into finals >>>>> losing form going into finals.

Ey Collingwood? :)

By surfcoast I mean Fairhaven.

But still 45mins to get to south geelong, then 1+ hour on the train (if it's on time), really relies on not being busy Friday afternoon.

I like Apollo Bay. :)

But even with the new bypass still too bloody far.

So basically lose.

In theory that argument is good, but in reality, big no no. Imo.
Yep I would prefer to win every game from here on, which given who we have to play would add credibility.

Then as a result let every team worry about playing the GFC!!

I used to go down there a bit, but had to go in the back way (through the otways) as the winding GOR give me horrible car sickness:(, especially once past Lorne

The back way is almost just as windy! (until you get further north anyway). I get pretty nauseous as well on the GOR- but find if I'm the one driving it, I'm fine. Guess you are always looking directly ahead and not to the side which helps.

first holiday as a child, i threw up in my own hat on the Cairns chair lift/skyrail.

I think from there i was destined to suffer motion sickness, incidently on the same holiday I got motion sickness on a boat ride out to Green Island when we were going snorkelling.

What a disgrace that carl and ess is before us when neither can make top 4.do buffoons run the fixture?
On the bright side we will know exactly that we need to do at home against a team with little to play for and having to travel and the 6 day brake,I'll take that with both hands.

Funny it's the road that's your concern,I still have trouble at surf no any beach I was at Fairhaven during a shark attack as a kid never got over it.Still won't go in over my knees.

How do you steer?

Watch out for ankle sharks.:D
Fred I go up to Fraser Island the end of August some years for the Taylor run, there's no swimming on Fraser it's shark central, you still see blokes wade out chest deep early morning and going on dark not me though can't do it.

Yeah, bad joke, sorry.
I just bloody hate the beach, full stop (well, except for one - or two - things), so it doesn't really concern me. I don't even really understand the attraction it has for some (like the blokes you mention), but there are many mysteries in life I still have to decipher, and time is starting to get short.
