Hasn't bothered Adelaide with Betts and Charlie Cameron.

We'd be a stronger side if Jeffy could find his mojo.
How'd Adelaide go this year? Not sure I'd be using them as a measuring stick..
In contrast to the Swans/Hawks who don't play anyone exclusively as small forwards.

Pretty well after Taylor Walker returned from a 12 month injury, considering their horror draw in the first 3 matches.

I'd take Betts at his prime any day over Puopolo or McGlynn; the kid has talent.

No doubt, Betts was always one of my favourite players while he was with us.
I just think the days of players playing exclusively in a forward pocket are coming to an end.

Not so well when the season was on the line and they needed to beat Tigers and North.

Hoping we rookie Ben Cavarra from Frankston - I put in a post last year hoping we would get him and was over looked by all clubs. His height at 174 is the only reason imo he isnt on a list. Finished in the votes in 13 out of 17 games this year. Only 19 still, trains and plays like his life depends on it, commited to diet / improving himself.

Last year played TAC cup where he was dominant - joint winner of the Morish medal, BOG in a winning grand final side in which he captained ! alongside the likes of Honeychurch, Boyd and Patracca, played for VIC Metro side etc.. but overlooked last draft.

Dedication, pace, strength over the ball and extreme competitiveness - yes please !

How is his goal sense ??? Could we turn him in to a small forward tackling machine ??? Would he be an upgrade on Ellard ???

It just couldn't happen.

If the heat on Buckley and the club isn't hot enough, not picking up Moore would be just too much.
Would take a really ignorant and egotistical person to consider not selecting Moore in the Pies current environment and I reckon Bucks just about fits the criteria perfectly.

But I agree, surely not...

Not even Buckley could.
We bid and Collingwood take Moore. Easy.

Carlton is set to have five picks in the upcoming 2014 NAB AFL Draft.

At this stage the Blues look set to hold selections, six, 26, 43, 62 and 80.

The order of selection is indicative only at this stage and will be subject to change depending on trades and the allocation of compensation picks.

The 2014 NAB AFL Draft will be held on the Gold Coast on Thursday 27 November.

Wouldn't mind picking up Connor Blakely somewhere in the second round, plays a bit like Libba Jnr/Cripps.

Well I count picks 98 and 116 too, which were occupied in 2014 by Scotland and Cachia as nominated rookies.

So whether we pass on draft night to again take 2 extra rookies or promote Wood and Sheehan is an open question.

I would love to somehow get our hands on a second early 2nd round pick to replace the pick we trade for Jaksch
(Pick 27 for Waite sounds nice)

And then get another pick inside 30 from trading/upgrading picks with Robbo

Jaksch, Jones and 3 picks inside 30 would be perfect, two midfielders and a tall in the Draft and we'd be laughing

If we get Jones, we won't need Jaksch in the short term.

In that scenario I'd rather 4 picks in the top 30, unless Jaksch explicitly wants to play for us. From comments yesterday, he's happy at St Kilda - as long as he gets back to Victoria.

Comments yesterday - He will pick his preferred club when he gets back from Bali. Manager didn't say he won't pick a preference.
