Jes if griffens worth pick 4 and 2nd rounder i wonder what armo n steven would be worth. Steven gotta be pick 2. Armo not far off imo.
a lot of people would rate Griffen a much better player than both of them I think you might find.

Of the two I would hate to lose Jack, but on the other hand we would get a lot more for him than we would Armo, so that would ease the pain of losing him significantly. I would only be trading him for a top 4 pick though, possibly only top 3, after Wright's poor end to the season.

Jack v McCartin or Brayshaw puts things into a bit of perspective, as much as I would hate to see him go. We could build our forward line around McCartin and if we got Petracca and Brayshaw this year and then a Boyd or Cameron next year, we could be in serious business going forward.

Griffen is 1000 times footballer then Armo.. He's much better footballer then Steven aswell.

Armo is worth pick around 25-30 and that's all, if we are lucky

So much this. Not even in the same stratosphere.
As for trade value, he is 28 with a bad back. Then again, it's GWS and they need to do this. I think 4 & 7 will get done and the doggies will come out giant winners.

I'd trade Steven and maybe Gwilt for pick two in a heartbeat, means we get Petracca, his replacement as well as Paddy, a no brainer to me.

Gwilt is a free agent and can go wherever he wants, thus no trade involved with him at all.

4 & 7 is overs, BUT they are in position where they can afford to use those kind of picks to get elite talent in to help out all their kids. I'd say Dogs would also throw couple picks back at them for the 2 high picks.

Some chronic over-rating of our players going on, though I guess it would be the same on every board... You always love your own more.
Thunda, I'd have Armo a little higher than 25-30 though...

We don't really have a genuine swingman that can play back so I don't mind the idea of developing Bruce into a bit of a wild card we can move around. I'm getting the feeling his number 27 will suit him well.
Alright this one is going to go down in flames, but I would not be averse to getting Schoenmakers provided it was for say our 4th rounder or less. Particularly if we get Membrey for free. The last reject Hawthorn full back we took actually worked out alright for us. I have had countless arguments with mates over Zac Dawson over the years, in my opinion he was serviceable. People were so fixated on him getting ragdolled by Rocca they couldn't see that he had become a half decent full back and he cost nothing. Was actually a successful trade. Like Dawson, Shoenmakers does dumb things that everybody remembers. Dropping a chest mark that costs your team a GF spot in 2011, well people remember that stuff. I still think he has some potential. Ultimately we still need some key position depth badly, and I don't want to pay a lot for it given how many other holes we have that must be filled first. If we get him cheaply, at the very worst we have a new whipping boy which will be a nice break for Stanley, who has born the brunt of it post Clarke & Dawson.

If Gwilt was going to go to Melbourne, anyway, they may ask us to trade him to prevent us from getting any compensation, which would harm their draft position. Whilst largely insignificant, there is at least *some* motivation for Melbourne to request that.

EDIT - Plus what dragit said, about their Frawley compensation pick.

If we could get Richmond's pick 12 for Armo, we'd be crazy to say no. We'd need to give up something extra, though.

yeah no doubt it would on every board...

Plenty of Free Agents have been traded in past years.

We always seriously over rate our players. I doubt Jack Steven would get us much more than a late first, early second rounder. Say 15 to 25 pick. Especially after his season.

Hope the club would do the right thing for Gwilt & Jones and get them to the club they want for next to nothing pick 99, we delisted them both were great clubmen

Gut feel.

Faz - out the door
Gilbo - out the door

Armo - tipping point
Stanley - tipping point

Siposs - steak knife
Simpkin - steak knife

Curren / Markworth - trade bait (aware re-signing in futurefest)

If the club keeps #1 (my preference) and wishes to trade up, would not be surprised to see these names involved, similar story with Saunders as you need to bundle something of worth to gain worth.

Armo would not get us anything like 12. Maybe their next pick which would be around 30.

You are seriously underrating our players or seriously overvaluing draft picks.

I think a lot here are underrating armo and Steven. Steven is worth more then griffin IMO, age being the main reason. And I think armo could get a pick around 8-12

He's easily worth more than that, won a B&F and nearly made AA at 23. Injury interrupted season this year.
