There is no way we are keeping pick 1 if Stanley is traded. It becomes a lot more about value and extracting the extra picks.

My thinking would be that if we traded Stanley for 21, we would trade 1 for 4 + 7.

We would then pick up wright or McCartin @ 4 a mid @ 7 and McKenzie @ 21 (for barrels)

Heading to the draft with 4, 7, 21 & 22 would reflect what your mate jaxons reported last week

Another hypothetical, let's say we trade 1 to GWS for 4 & 7, Armo to Tigers for 12, Stanley to Cats for 21, 60 to Swans for Membrey, & there's also a rumour that we may get O'Shea for 41 to help get the Ryder deal over the line.
That would give us 4, 7, 12, 21, 22 + Membrey & O'Shea.

I have to say, if this happens, that would be pretty damn impressive!

In my mind one doesn't trade Stanley to select a player wth pick one that is not the natural first pick, unless another top 4 pick is thrown in. Essentially it's downgrading pick 1 at the same time. I dont want to trade Stanley unless we have an equivalent player who can be a target right now.

Armo has significantly more currency than Trengove. Bigger body, proven consistent performer, no injury concerns by way of Navicular problems.

Straight swap would be about right IMO

I hope he stays, but Pick 21 for an inconsistent former Pick 47 isn't a terrible deal...

I can see the value in it but considering it would almost certainly mean trading pick 1 for 4 and 7 and lock us into Wright with 4 I'm just not sure I like it.

Armo is almost worth pick 12 on his own. No way is 22 involved in that.

That's 5 first round picks....

Are you comparing someone who's played 1 decent game with 4 players on our list who have performed (more or less) week in, week out for a long period of time?

Don't comprehend that.

I would much rather see Stanley go rather than the four you mentioned.

Picking up Membery to play the forward role.

We still have Hickey and Longer and gives us that second pick inside 22 even if we don't trade Pick 1.

yeah I was thinking that, I still reckon 12 is slight overs for Armo. Maybe 41 going to Richmond as well for 12.
