Freo are only 1 game and 2 percent in front of port power.

If both win next week - I don't think Ross Lyon will rest players as 2% is easy to pick up.

I don't think he will risk losing the top 4 over resting players.

top 4 is not set by any means.

Top 4 is set, just the order up for grabs. The rest of the 8 looks pretty much set too. EF against port coming up.
Port are only 1 game behind freo & could grab 4th position with an upset win against freo in the last round. Unlikely but possible.

We need to defeat North (and St Kilda for that matter) to guarantee that, West Coast will demolish their next two opponents and take our spot on percentage if we don't.

Richmond are still a realistic threat too, especially if Sydney stitch up top 2 this week and rest players against the Tigers in round 23.

True west coast could get there on %. We will have to dismember the Saints (beating north would be nice)

After what I just saw I can't see port troubling freo at home
I agree but Lyon won't be resting players unless port lose next week & 4th position is in the bag.

Freo looking like getting up - will mean 8/9 this week end only missing out on bloody West Coast - 3 .... point!!!!
I'm way ahead on margin, but this morning was 1 behind the leader, was 2 behind before he picked Adelaide (lol, amateur). But he picked Freo so I'm back where I was before this round.

Looked so simple too like Ottos

Patton's ACL confirmed :( Injuries suck. Poor kid.

Absolutely devastated for the kid. Everyone hopes that a knee will be stronger after a reconstruction in this day and age, unfortunately Patton has bucked the trend and reinjured the same ACL. It makes me wonder why some guys are prone to knee injuries more then others and whether there is landing technique involved, structural development of the knee(s) over their lifetime or some genetics at play.

Not enough is known about these injuries which can devastate the careers of footballers. He's going to need some real soul searching and a bloody good surgeon to come back from this and reach his potential. Again, I'm shattered for the guy, these injuries really suck.

Absolutely this. Would be a very dumb decision in the context of the top 4.

Here is an interesting comparison between the Crows board and Board 1870.

Today whilst Port and Gold Coast were playing there was four pages of posts on our "General AFL Thread". And some of that included talk of Buddy's haul against the Saints.

Tonight while we were playing (as at 11.40pm tonight) there were Seventeen pages of posts pretty much devoted to our game on their "General AFL Thread".

Anyone who suggests we talk as much about Port here as they do us on their board is purely being PC to keep their mods happy.
And there doesn't even need to be a game on, half the time during the week they're in there banging on about something or other with the Camriez.. If it's not some ridiculously nothing thing it's another.. :D

Just looking at a few boards right then and they're sure enough in there circle jerking about how the Crows video for entry to the film festival is so bad and the Port one is so awesome..

Seriously

Apparently according to one, we also embarrassingly defended our chants night but they call stuff out that their own club does if it's shit.. :D
Yes, there was so much defense of the chant night anyway.. o_O:confused:

I think the general pants wetting about a Showdown final has more to do with attention than the game itself.

Early season they were the SA team, getting all the plaudits and publicity, here and interstate. I think they were looking forward to post season dominance of the market too.

Now it might all be lost if there is a showdown final against those rotten cows - no sole publicity, no one up on big brother. All the pre game hype shared.

It's like a teenage girl with low self esteem

Cool theory but I think it has more to do with losing our home ground advantage by having to share tickets and having a 50:50 crowd.

Who's big brother?

No Port posters brought this up about the tickets (that I noticed) until a few must have read it over here..
That's why I posted about it once, saying that none of you seem to realise tickets will be first in..
In the initial days of the showdown final possibility realisation, there was just fear..
But anyway..

So Boomer and Wells out this week by the looks of it.

Roos fans seem to be shit scared of Kerridge coming into the side as well :p

If both of those two are confirmed outs it certainly helps our chances of winning.

They're probably being managed as they don't have a lot to play for, they should finish 6th no matter what. I'm expecting a win.

If Kerridge comes in and kicks another massive bag against the Kangas I'll forgive this dismal season :p

3AW reporting sub rule likely to gone for next year, great move if it's right. Looks like Sando's rant might have helped to at least get back to 4 on the interchange bench???

Thank Christ if that happens - as long as they don't just remove the sub and keep 3 on the bench.

Lyons and Grigg's fortunes set to change! (If they're still here)
