I think they are playing well enough now to beat Richmond.

Where the filth have ....ed up is getting stuck in the Syd/Freo away semi. Certain elimination in week 2. So for all the fapping about them this year they won't have improved their position.

So Rooch - is that a successful season?

I know they made finals but if the Tiges think they're going further than next week. They struggled to beat a side who didn't care without their ruckman, best midfielder and the best forward in the game. Port will annihilate them.

Well we were not getting close to the Eagles percentage anyway by the look of things. Better to know last night than find out now.

Now this is some funny shit, on the Poort board they seem to think Ken Hinkley came up with the term "We will get what we deserve" and everyone else is just copying him now..

Da hell?
This has been used forever and a day in many walks of life, a lot in footy especially..

It's ok, they invented singing and holding up their scarves before a game too!

Ah PAP logic.

I tried to Google that phrase to see who came up with it, but then it told me Google itself was developed by some guy called Hinkley. And the internet was the brainchild of Russell Ebert.

I'm quite sure that Wanganeen bloke invented the diving when he arrivedPort and Monfries is just taking it to another level!

The most pathetic sight of all time. Notice they all have new scarves? Haven't see a game of footy since 2007 when they threw out all the teal clothing they had and abandoned the club.

No surprise when your unfortunate enough to speak to a tealster though, they all, every one of them, were one of the 15,000 that stood by the club through the dark times.

Onto more serious business, who wins the flag? Hawks, Swans, Dockers or Cats?

I still think the Hawks for mine. Swans v Hawks GF though
Hawks to win straight through to the Prelim, then into the GF..

I find it hard to pick the Sydney vs Freo winner as I really rate what Freo can do..
So whoever wins that game and goes into the other Prelim will then make the GF as well..

I'll lean towards Sydney vs Hawks GF, with Freo a strong chance to take Sydney's spot though..
Hawks to win it all..

I still don't rate Freo to take it all out. Ross has failed to win the big one in 3 goes and still think he'll be waiting

This year is the first in which a Ross Lyon coaches team has shown genuine intent to prioritise attack over defence for any significant period of the game. They may still come up short, but they're tactically better equipped to deal with a team like Hawthorn now when compared to last year.

If Freo get over Sydney this week, they'll bring home the flag I reckon.

Be interesting if he finally can, or ever will crack it..
If Freo don't win it soon, it could be all over for a while..
This might even be close to their last chance, time is running out..

They have an old band of players but also a number that some of us wouldn't realise how old they are..
Ages next year: Duffield 30, Johnson 31, Sandilands 33, Pavlich 34, McPharlin 34, Mundy 30, Crowley 31, Griffin 29, Sylvia 30, Dawson 29
Surprising ones: Silvagni 28, Spurr 28, Mayne 27, Barlow 28, Mzungu 29, Pearce 29, Ibbotson 27, Ballantyne 28

I knew they were an experienced list but not to that extent..
