I just think Selwood has aged a lot more than people think, he's been pummelled from pillar to post in the last 8 seasons and looks to be physically tiring. He's still a good player but I think we've seen his best days, I'd be surprised if he plays much at all after his 30th birthday.

Maybe. But the guy carried the midfield for much of 2015. He was tagged out of many games, but when it counted he still managed to impose himself. Maybe he'll spend more time up forward? Maybe Danger will cop the heavy tags in 2016, or even better, as the likes of Duncan or Mots become truly elite in the midfield, they will attract the heavy tags?

I honestly don't think we had anyone play well enough and consistently to deserve a spot in the squad.
Tbh, I'd have thought that Selwood would be a shoe in, but he hasn't had the best season. The only other player I believe is AA quality is Blitz because he's gone from strength to strength this year. Perhaps Duncan if he hadn't been injured + even Guthrie ???

Duncan was definitely having a sustained purple patch before he was injured, but even then there were so many other midfielders in good form, ahead of him.

My memory, through my rose coloured glasses doesn't remember his purple patch, only just how much he was missed.
