I was under the impression that Harris would ideally be played forward in a couple years time after he Bulks up. I swear I heard leppa say it in a presser in
Probably showed too much as a defender now.

Andrews and Hipwood give us a lot of flexibility moving forward, you'd think one of them will play forward at some stage. Can't wait until both of them bulk up, they are both unbelievably athletic for their size.

Hipwood played forward for the reserves this weekend, kicked 3 goals in a big loss to the Suns.
Hopefully both countinue their development, be a great combo to have.
Yeah but how many Key backs were taken in the top 10? Weitering is definitely worthy of pick 1 or 2 and would be too 5 in every draft. He is going to be IMO a top 3 KPD one day.I'm not really sold on Weitering. He is the best Key back, but has shown nothing as a key forward. Never the less spending pick 2 on a key back is risky.
All Australian key backs in the last 3 years are:
2014-
Alex Rance (Pick 17)
Daniel Talia (Pick 13)
Cale Hooker (Pick 54)
2013-
Scott Thompson (Pick 37)
Harry Taylor (Pick 17)
Michael Johnson (Pick 8, PSD)
2012-
Luke McPharlin (Pick 10)
Ted Richards (Pick 27)
Darren Glass (Pick 11)
Just him being managed by Pickers is a huge turn off.
If pick 2 got 'homesick'...Seriously **** AFL.
Is it just me or are the powers that be at HQ making it harder to get off the bottom. They are continually making it harder to draft from the academy...
I've seen him play several times and think he is definitely a draft prospect but unless he has a growth spirt won't be key position. Will post a pic when I find it.hmmm...... Apparently Josh Schache has a Step-Brother Lachie, who is also a key forward and has been picked for the Murray Bushrangers despite being an underager and not draft eligible until next year....
Does anyone know if he is any good? I don't see much of the TAC Cup
I get it, but we are not getting the best value out of that pick and I doubt we will have a pick as high as this in the near future. I rather trade pick 2 for a Jonathan Patton, Tom Lynch, Cameron McCarthy, Josh Bruce or Jack Darling type of player. You don't need to use a top 2 pick on a key defender. History shows that you can pick one up from anywhere in the draft.Yeah but how many Key backs were taken in the top 10? except its unlikely we would get any of these guys, hence we hold onto it and get Weitering.I get it, but we are not getting the best value out of that pick and I doubt we will have a pick as high as this in the near future. Sounds like he has potential...Here's a pic - Lachie Waite - very promising

I'd rather Jonathon Patton or others listed as well it it won't happen.I get it, but we are not getting the best value out of that pick and I doubt we will have a pick as high as this in the near future. Probably ok to have thomas but not okeefe, just his age is a bit of a concern.Apologies if this has been discussed already (can't seem to find the search function and I'm not scanning through 80 pages!)...
What are the thoughts about trying to pick up the Josh Thomas (and Lachie Keeffe) via the rookie draft? I did read that the Lions are interested, and also read that the Pies are keen to keep them.
I see Josh Thomas is from Queensland (and plans to live up there next year) - perhaps get Beams in his ear over the coming months?
My opinion: definitely worth a shot - particularly with Josh being a northerner. Have proven ability. We would effectively lose a spot (or 2) on the rookie list for a year - but no worse then having an untried "project player" taking that spot.
