Just a little game here to look back on in a few years and see your hits and misses.

1. Power rankings. Choose a top 20/30/40/50

2. The gems. Choose a few players that are predicted to go later in the draft that will prove to be great value.

3. The busts. What bigger names won't make it.

4. Your favourite player(s) and why.

1. Rankings (non-academy)
Weet-bix
Love Shack
Ben Stokes
Clayton "Please sir can i have some more" Oliver
Some Weed Dealer (if he had played more, might have rated higher than the Love Shack)
Church Community Group (..Parish)
The good Curnow
Brett Burton
Hibberd (another to feel the pain of being called Hibbard)
Phil Collins
Terry Milera
Matthew Riley Bonner
The other Darcy
Clint "Harry" Mckay
Ah Chee
Balic
Mathieson
Gresham
Aaron Fiora
Mason Rednblackman
Clint Mckay's twin brother
Never tear us aPartington
Michael Clarke
Not Cyril Rioli
Richie Cunningham
Slam Dunkley

2. Gem(s) - Blake Hardwick & Lovell

3. Bust(s) - Not necessarily total cockups but I wouldn't be surprised if Curnow and\or Milera don't meet expectations. But they'll be okay.

4. Favourites - I like Clayton and Francis. I also am a fan of Redman because I thought he was great as Laverde's stuntman in Top Gun.

Gems:
James Parsons- Prototype 190cm smooth mover with skills and composure through traffic. Only 17 still and could be the steal of the draft.

Stephen Tahana- Not a star but he'll be a 150 game+ player. Tidy, a bit of toe, good decision maker, role/team player and spreads well. Will slot a bit like Touk Miller did last year and just hold his spot because he does all the things coaches ask.

Mabior Chol- He followed a similar form trajectory as Rioli did late, but it didn't really raise his standings. Probably because he's a ruck and will take some years to build or maybe because he's aligned to Brisbane's academy. Also he took a few really strong pack marks and carried the ball out of defence well
enough to give me a glimpse he could develop into a key back down the line.

Busts:
Agree with the Schache call, doesn't appear have the contested side of his game to be a superstar key forward, but will still have great days due to his conversion rate.

Also... Parish, think will start well probably contend for the rising star but will hit his development wall early and settle as a B grader. While that certainly isn't a bad career I think he will be passed by a fair few taken immediately after him.

Favorites:
Oliver- While I'm not a fan of the slight bodied outside types without elite attributes, I love me a beastly inside midfielder, there is a reason the coaches voted the inside mid as the most valuable player on the team and we don't have a decent one outside of the soon to be retiring Watson and the constantly injured Myers. While there is an element of risk with Oliver as he looks a little like a bull in a china shop rather than a classy extractor, the upside is huge with his agility and competitiveness my favorite traits for his role.

Francis- Moves/plays like Hurley, think he'll end up a formidable third tall at either end.

Aaron Francis. Competitive beast in the mould of Goddard.

Darcy Tucker. Oozes class off HB.

What i think will happen

4/5 Francis and Parish
24/25 T.Cole/Matthieson/Bonner/Hibberd - lean towards the first + M.Brown

Later on Nuyon and Hardwick

What i want to happen
4/5 Weideman and Milera far riskier than Francis Parish though.

Grab the bonafide mid that slips to 24/25 and hope for a Mckay, Himmlberg aswell if not Skinner to develop as the key back.
