Norwood Oval and AAMI Stadium! Oh lord. The SANFL really does try and extract every single last drop out of the AFL orange, doesn't it. Stand on your own two feet you lecherous campaigners.

I kind of like that the AFL's NAB cup philosophy is "back to the suburbs" so this officially designates AAMI Stadium as the suburban hole it always was.

I also kind of like that chicken shop next to Norwood oval.

March 20th: World Cup Quarter Final at Adelaide Oval
March 21st: Port v Crows preseason game at (lol) AAMI

Who cares about the locations. We have 2 out of 3 games in Adelaide which is far better than sometimes in the past.

But why, why, why, is our first game Sunday twilight if it is untelevised! !! WTF? I love Sunday twilight but it's clearly unliked by the majority so to make that a time for a preseason game is just ludicrous

I know it's only pre-season but one wish I had was an Alberton game.
Last year vs the saints was a great day out. Even had a Port/South Adelaide game before hand.

As silly as it sounds I don't mind returning to AAMI for 1 pre-season game. It will bring back the memories of the last showdown there. ;)

I do. **** AAMI Stadium. A fitting monument to a corrupt dictatorship that was self serving. Their only achievement was destroying the one thing they were responsible for protecting, football in South Australia. The Crows should have stayed there, I don't see why they should benefit from Adelaide Oval after being dragged there kicking and screaming.

"In addition, the League also announced club members with game access would be entitled to attend NAB Challenge matches free of charge. Fans are being urged to sign up ahead of the start of the competition to ensure this feature applies to them."
Good, see you there at Noorwood and Swamp land!

Why Norwood oval ? Hmmm why would it not be played at Alberton ? Seating issues or perhaps other sporting events such as cricket ?

In 2013, Hawthorn had the other 7 finalists from 2012 in the first 7 rounds - didn't stop them going all the way. If we're good enough, we can do the same thing next year. If we can keep close to our best team on the park for most of the season, I reckon the other teams will have more to worry about than we will.

No one remembers how hard draws are or how hardly fought premierships are. All they care about is who won the grand final. Would like it to be as easy as possible to make top 4 then have a read hot crack in finals. 5 out of Hawks first 7 were either in Victoria at their own home ground or in Tasmania (also their home ground). 12 of the Hawks first 14 games in 2013 were in Victoria or Tasmania... and overall that year they had 18 of 22 games in Victoria or Tasmania... just personally wouldn't mind 15+ games in adelaide for us..

Can someone tell me when they are going to knock down Crow Park so I can piss on the ashes?
My guess is that they will keep having pre-season showdowns at Football Park until the crows win one, so that they can say they won the last showdown played there.

It's the same reason we won't be seeing anymore showdowns at Richmond Oval - they've got to quit while they're ahead.

Interesting to see we're playing at Norwood Oval .....

Pumped about the AFL fixture though. We can start the year strong and stamp our credentials early as all the clubs jockey for top 2/4 positions in this marathon that is the Home & Away season. Fully anticipate to play Sydney, Hawks, Freo, Crows and 1 other team twice in 2015. I'm guessing a Richmond type mid-table club. Hopefully not West Coast. Essendon, Richmond or Collingwood would be nice (an extra game at the MCG).

Either way, bring it on.

Still though. First we get the first round, then we get the ANZAC day round and now we get the NAB Challenge fixture.

To gain even more attention is Gill going to start taking selfies in front of his mirror with his **** half hanging out and use the hashtag #newhaircut;)?

I love you.

Just realised, are people actually complaining about the first NAB game being Sunday twilight? The reason it's twilight is because it'll most likely be a stinking hot day! I'd be furious if we had any daytime games. Not very happy with the 3:40pm start for the last game tbh. Personally, I think all pre-season fixtures should be night games.

Also, pre-season showdowns are great because it's one less week we (and every other non-VIC team) have to travel for the year. Seriously, the novelty has worn off. Who gives a **** about pre-season "showdowns" anymore? They're practice games.
