The look of acceptance and inevitable doom was priceless at a function i attended this weekend with a couple of pafc members. Wines is gone. Carlton have offered him a massive deal. One he can simply not refuse. There was always one that had to be squeezed out from dixon, ryder and co taking the $$$. Apparently his manager and the club are not seeing eye to eye and it will drag out to the end of the year, sound familiar...

He believes the deal is done, hence the postponing of contract negotiations. Carlton throwing the $$$ at him, hawthorn aswell but nowhere near as much. **** knows how hed know but it sounds good to me. Finally a good news story.

It's good news if he's right, but as we know with these things, not many people know exactly what's going on. I won't be popping any champagne corks just yet

What I found funny was a few Port people I know took the extra back ended year on Boak and Grays contracts as a sign they had landed ANOTHER good player for next year and not a sign they were trying to free up more cash for Wingard/Wines after spending decent coin on Ryder and Dixon these past two offseasons.

This is legitimately hilarious. You sound like the next Damian Barrett in the making. I'm replying to your post to see what your excuse is when Wines re-signs with Port or joins any other club but Carlton in the future.
