Our third rounder is very generous for a bloke who has never played an AFL game.

Can you throw a ball park figure out there, BS? I'm guessing 5 years at 700k (a tad higher perhaps), front loaded to receive at least $1mil in 2016. That 5% we didn't spend gives us an extra 500k for next year. Laughing.

I'd say that the salaries that are quoted in media every year around trade period are about 10% more than the truth. Definitely in the case of Saints targets this year.

I think clubs will be reluctant too. For the reason that we could improve or we could drop off. It's an unknown. Second rounders and third rounders are different however.

Ours is the best deal the Carlisle camp has currently received, we've altered/improved it recently and it's still not quite at the amounts being spoken about in here and on social media. The money side of it is a non issue anyway, our cap is seriously healthy and we will drop off a heap more salary this time next year with a few more veterans retiring.

Sorry, I misread your first comment. And then I sounded stupid. I'm a school teacher so I can work out 10% less (dewah07) hahaha! I thought MG wrote 10% of salary reported are truthful. All good!

I would happily offer Freeman 300-350k/3 years ( maybe 2 with a games clause for a 3rd) if it meant we got him cheap.
