The battle for the last two spots in the East look like going to the wire. Leafs and B's keep winning but the Bolts and Canes are right on their hammer. Think the Islanders are in strife after today's mauling and Philthy are too far back.

Ok whatever. It was clearly not intended as him being able to beat McDavid, more a go at my team for not having anyone fleet of foot still, but you have to turn it into something it isn't yet again.
Just read McDavid has a 9 game point streak (5 goals and 11 assists). I was joking a couple of weeks ago that he'll make 100. He'll get closer than I thought. An amazing season for a 20-year old captain with a bunch of pressure on him. Been fun to watch.
I never got to use my hypothetical analysis of a race between a 15 year old McDavid and Marleau.
Patrik Elias retired today. A very consistent scorer in a defensive minded team.
Imagine the points he would have put up playing for a more attacking team.

With the Leafs and B's winning again I think the East is pretty much done now
