Not in regard to Berry himself but the claim being made. The claim makes no sense whatsoever. If any player has self doubts in the under age competition then those will be magnified in the AFL. The skill level increases significantly, the pace increases significantly and the intensity increases significantly so if the play has any self doubts coming onto the list, he will get eaten up and spat out of the system before he can blink. If there are self doubts in the underage competition, it will only get harder when the competition increases, not easier.

Again, this is not in regards to Berry. I wouldn't know if he has them or nor. Have not followed him closely so can't comment on him specifically but in general the claim being made makes no sense whatsoever.
You did see who made that claim?
Think the Rebels Talent Manager Phil Partington might have a better handle on the kid than some bloke that the closest he's ever got to him is through video, replays and highlight reels?..

"Jarrod's an outstanding leader. He's a boy you'd want to go to war with. He does everything possible to become better in everything he does. He jumps on his bike to go to the gym by himself and after games, when everyone else is gone, he'll be the one in here doing his rehab. He's just determined to get the best out of himself and whoever picks him up will be very pleased with the person they're bringing in. He can play in various positions; I don't think you can pigeonhole him. He's showed he can play the half-back role, he's showed this year that he can play on-ball and he's a very dangerous player when he goes forward as well. He hasn't had a good run at it because of injury this year, but he has many strings to his bow."

Phil Partington, North Ballarat talent manager

Bicks would you say that the depth of this draft has become apparent lately, or was it pretty clear early on?
Pretty obvious early on to us on here that follow the draft/U18's this was an outstanding crop depth wise, there will be some absolute steals as deep as the 3rd round IMO.

The fact that the largest single cheating club in VFL/AFL history is entitled to the 1st pick in each round makes me feel extremely nauseous. It's like a sore that won't heal, just festers away until it devours anything in its path. Time will never let me rest easy on this matter.:mad::mad:

From an interview out of his own mouth
