I'd be against it.

We have to be pretty careful with all this points juggling not to assist potential rivals.

In my opinion Western Bulldogs, St Kilda, Gold Coast and Carlton are the younger teams that are going to be our rivals.

Sure we have to trade from time to time but why should we give you a free kick to get another high pick??

We didn't use all our points last year and I doubt we will again this year.

We have our priorities and so long as we have the points to secure McGrath or McCluggage, Setterfield, Perryman and Macreadie than we are set. F*** St Kilda and their needs.
Because if you have enough points, then you are basically getting a first round pick for free and losing nothing. If you aren't going to use all your points, you might as well get something out of it.

All we need to worry about is having enough points to cover our needs. It is daft to help rivals unless essential.
I think you missed the part where you get a first round pick next year. You may get a free shot in the open draft with that while still having enough points in this years.

Anyway, not here to argue. I think most list managers most importantly think about improving their own list and don't worry about how it improves others. Lots of trades are win/win, it's not all about screwing your opponents. We are a long way behind you guys list wise anyway.

I'll leave you be.

Apologies I did misread that.

With a first rounder its more attractive. Hard to tell not knowing what is happening next year with Brander etc.

Would GWS do this deal?

Essendon Out: Hibberd, 41
Essendon In: Stewart, 23

GWS Out: Stewart, 23
GWS In: 41, 2017 second

Melbourne Out: 2017 second
Melbourne In: Hibberd

But maybe, just maybe, we hang onto Will HE. He's one of the originals, do we really want to lose him?
Barring surprises he seems to be the unknown.
Would not it not be a mistake to blindside the club by requesting a trade late?
Unless it's discussed early but kept under wraps I guess.

I knew something was cooking. We have Pick 2, we have enough points for Academies kids, so what were we gonna do with the currency from Marchbank & Stewart trades. 2017 future picks, or something bold for now?

Deledio is a star. If he played for Geelong or Hawthorn, he'd be an all-time great. I will be over the moon to get him.

I dare-say RFC will be paying some of his salary if this happens. And we will be shifting all the fringe out.

for what its worth reckon it would be a great move to get lids but not sure how keen he is to move his family up to sydney.
They said during the year he had already considered this. So if talks are back on, on my opinion they know he is open to it.

Plus nearing the end of his career richmond arnt winning a flag. If he cant go to geelonf why not come here and coach after.

With a flag :)

He must know the giants are a chance next year. That must be very apealing
