However, if we get pick 2, plus key 2016 academy targets, plus Lids, plus hit the salary cap this looks like a win.

We are in the flag window now, and a success-hungry elite utility who fits our culture sounds very sensible.

U raised some relevant issues in regards to kids being pushed out due to lack of opportunity. But if they can't push out the 30 year old has been with injury issues (as some have portrayed him) those same kids won't be hugely missed

Reality is that he makes us a better team NOW where as any kid we draft will take years to contribute to the win loss ratio. We could walk away with lids, a top two pick and most of the academy kids.... what a trade period

If the younger mids aren't happy with it, they need to up their game, more determination and more hunger to take someone else's spot. We are a team in a premiership window, every player should be wanting to be in the team to be there on grand final day should we make it.

He won't be a full time midfielder anyway, he'll likely spent most of his time floating between the half forward and half back line.

Bam Bam the more likely casualty - he's the one I had pencilled in for the 7th forward spot (midfield relief). That's the fear - plus that we blow a high pick on what should be 10-12 year investment on a 2 year get-rich-quick buy.

If he helps win us our first flag, it is worth it.
