Any North supporters want to comment on Dummont (247k)?
He was the sub in 5 of his 8 games so his is quite underpriced on what he can score. In his three full games he got an 84, 74, 73 or an average of 77pts which would price him around 415k.

You would think another preseason in if he could maintain around the 80pts mark you would be laughing.

Is he likely to be best 22 though?
Too much of a risk for mine.

He falls somewhere in the 20th-28th best player on the list.

Needs to work on his tank a little hence being sub a lot. Once some injuries strike he will move up the order so a non starter for mine esp as mid only but could be a trade in target later potentially if he has 2 strong showings pre bubble.

I mean obviously the Cats :D

But seriously, as it stands now probably Freo with Mundy, Fyfe, Neal and HB.
Then
Swans - Hit a few road blocks but very very solid.
Then
Cats - Danger and Selwood probably best midfield duo - but can Ducan, Motlop, Guthrie and Caddy step up?
Then
Pies - Pendles then some space like the Cats a few need to step up.
Finally,
Lions - I think really drop off after Rockwiz and Beams.

Realistically between, Cats, Swans, Freo and Pies there isn't much between them all - an injury here a youngster stepping up there and they are all even IMO.

I know this is the SC board not the main Board but surely Hawks midfield is the best. If you're in doubt go back and watch the Hawks games over the past few years against the 5 sides listed above.

However I wouldn't touch any Hawks mids in SC 2016. Roles and positions will chop and change too much I think. Plus if we make a better start to the year than we did in 2015 expect the occasional rest for the better players.

And we there have it. Supercoach board. End.

Unique Name Thanks for the info.
My thoughts on fyfe:
Pretty sure you don't stick a brownlow medalist in the fwd line wrapped in cotton wool when sandilands could be tapping it down his throat, bursting out the guts with the pill.
To much is being made of fyfe resting fwd.
All gun mids will be resting fwd in stages due to reduced interchanges.
Its one of the few seasons you can fit the big 4 midfielders in from the get go without sacrificing the other lines too much. It's a no brainer really isn't it. If fit FYFE LOCKED

Reminds me of all the talk two years ago of GAJ playing up forward.

I don't buy the Fyfe forward talk. He'll be in his usual on ball dominating role with short rest stints up forward. Period.

Any thoughts on David Myers? Played 2 games last season in which was subbed out in both due to injury, priced @ 249k, averaged 85 in 2014, lock to be in our best 22 and is in the peak of his career

Just had a look at Fyfe's scores from last year, bloody hell. I can see myself starting with a midfield of Fyfe, Ablett, Pendles, JPK, Rocky, Libba and Crouch.

Midfield is unreal this season.

He's 0% chance to be a top midfielder at the end of the year, so if you pick him you'll have to make a trade. And he'll most likely make 250k absolute tops, better off getting a rookie to make more money and use the money elsewhere.
Supercoach 101.

Not many rookies make you 250k.

Agree with what you're saying though.

No JOM? That's a lot of cash. Must have holes elsewhere.

I don't trust Jaegers knees. This would be my structure with that midfield.

I'd rather Myers than Watson. Decent mid-priced option, albeit with a considerable injury history. I don't think Watson will become a keeper again; his scores have been steadily declining since 2012.

Weak Ruck and no cover for the injury prone Leuy would be an issue for mine. Salem to rookie, Leuy to NN or Jacobs, McLean to Leuy would make it much betterer.

I would've been all over him if he was priced at his average (39, $208k iirc), not sure at $249k though. He's easily best 22, should average 85-90, maybe 95 at a stretch (doubt we'll see him around HB much anymore) and is an absolute bull, even if his scores don't back that up yet. But with Jobe, Hocking and Myers back, Bird introduced, Merrett (and to a much lesser degree Laverde) stepping up, and Heppell, there's suddenly a bit of a squeeze for mid time. I'll be keeping an eye on him in preseason, but there are other options for $50-100k more that could be bonafide keepers, and what at this point looks like a fair glut of decent rookies.

20/80 for me. Probably break glass in case of no decent rookies. o_O

Anyone considering Jobe

Under 500k
I'm pretty tempted. Usually wary of picking from my own team, but I think I'll have one of Jobe and Heppell at this point, WADA permitting. Looks like Jobe's slimmed down a fair bit from last year, training strongly, all the normal crap. We still need him in the middle, but he's a capable leading forward too, which should hold him in good stead with the interchange cap.

If you're picking him, it's got to be with the expectation of him turning into an M7/8...I think 105 is achievable but wouldn't bank on too much more than that. Heppell definitely worth a look too, with Hocking and Myers back for blocking and defensive/grunt work and Jobe hopefully taking a bit of heat off.

Totally agree. Fyfe absolute lock if fit. Only 24yo. I could see him go from 124 average to 130.

I'm liking Josh Kelly more for those points, I had Ward last year and he was amazing but he'd need to be top 10 by the end of the season to warrant picking him. He's close.

Any word on how Kelly is travelling mate? Tossing him and Jobe Watson up for a spot atm? PowerDrafter
