So "Talking Footy" came on and I thought to myself "yeah, I'll give it a try even though Footy Classified is on the other channel". Luke Darcy comes on and introduces special guest Dangerfield... Let's just say I'm back on with Hutchy, Loydy and Caro.
To be fair when Danger wasn't talking about himself he was ok. Let it be noted he doesn't rate Adelaide in the finals, only Sydney and Hawks apart from Geelong. Hope the club watched it. Also doesn't like the question if Adelaide are a better team without him, pricks his ego.
Noted.

I really hope we go after him and Selwood (Danger moreso, as i think it effects him more) if we happen to play Geelong in finals. Rough him up and really stick it to him. In his face, a few extra bumps and maybe even drive him into the ground if we manage to tackle him. Make it count and make him remember

Nope. He would expect that. Let him rack up 40 possies and have us pick em off and score heavily on the rebound.

I personally think his ego will make him try to do too much and that is when he struggles with disposal efficiency. Like the Hawthorn Final last year.

Then work out a way to stop Enright, Taylor and Mickie do the same to us. This is where they have beaten us twice this year. These three killing our forward efficiency.

That last one is easy.. stop blindly kicking it .. lower their eyes... they are all slow and play from behind. Play on quickly and break the lines...

Hire Bernie for the weekend.

Danger not rating our chances of a flag. Not sure if that's because Geelong have beaten us twice or because of sour grapes that we're ahead of Geelong on the ladder.....interesting

Cmon guys it fair enough. Sydney and Hawthorn are hardened finals contenders whilst we are largely unproven at that level.

Last time we turned up at the G for a final we were spanked. Last time we played Geelong we were spanked, and the time before. Last time we played Sydney and GWS away we were spanked.

I love what we are doing and where we are going but we have alot to prove.

nothing will damage dangers ego more than if the crows win the premiership and on their way knock geelong out.
he wont be able to handle such a situation.
I think this year is Flag or bust for Geelong. Wont be challenging for a few years after this.

Mike Sheahan: "Western Bulldogs have been the success story of this year."

Ok Mike, I know you have been a Victorian wanka ever since you claimed the Crows' premierships were "flukes", but really...

The Bullflogs season is a better "success" than the 2nd on the ladder Crows who have had to endure an exodus of players and a coach murdered?

Righto Mike, I always knew you were a flog but you've raced to the top of my list of clueless Victorian media bastards.

Do you still listen to the old VFL 'has been' lackey?
Shame on you.

Yes, my gut is telling me the same thing.
There will be 1-2 changes to the top 4 next season. Hawthorn and Geelong in the gun.
I know it won't be a popular opinion among the football "experts" in the media, but then again - Port top 4, Crows to miss the 8 LOL.

A club that has broken in to the top 4 after finishing 5-8 last year, or into the 8 after missing the finals last year, would be a "success story", Mike. Even a club that has climbed out of the bottom 4 to win 10 or so games might be a "success story".

A club that has essentially stagnated is not a "success story".

I know we all like to throw rocks at the Victorian media, and sometimes maybe we overstate our case, but seriously, this statement makes David King look like Einstein.

On an absolute scale, you're right, but I can see where he is coming from. The Dogs have gone far better than I expected, given their huge injury losses, and bad form of Stringer. Despite the fact that I hate them, one has to admire what they have achieved this year given their circumstances, together with the farcical $1m contract.

We might try to learn something by judging how they have got as far as they have. I put it down to teamwork and ferociously consistent desire. Of course, Dog throws and ducks play a systematic part! :)

Finally, gee I wish we had the little Caleb: he is a very valuable linkman.

I can understand Sheehan not nominating us as the success story of the year, because I'm not sure he even realises we're in the AFL.

But the Bulldogs? Really? Their success story was last year when they came from the brink to make the finals. This year they've pretty much done the same as last year.

As much as I hate to say it, the real success story this year has been Geelong, turning it around from missing the finals last year and seemingly beginning their slide back down to the bottom of the ladder only to get back into the top 4 almost immediately.

I don't think I'll be able to handle it either.....I'll burst with pleasure

Really disagree with this. They got lucky with getting Danger. They haven't done anything except get gifted the best player in the comp. how on earth is that the story of the year? We are easily the best story this year. No one even thought we'd make the finals, we lost the best player in the comp, we have a first year coach, we lost Phil last year.....my god how on earth is it Geelong??!!!!
