I think ive got a bit of josh fanboy bias.

He's really grown on me too. Definitely become a really good player and should be shooting up the re-draft list more and more

He and Nic Martin are my favourite 2 wingers in the comp.
Martin has some 2nd year blues at the moment but expect he'll bounce.

Darcy isn't the only competition.

Is this possibly the single greatest draft for rucks? From the National Draft there was Tim English, Sean Darcy, Esava Ratugolea, Darcy Cameron, Ryan Abbott and then Sam Draper, Keegan Brooksby (a re-draft but still), Peter Ladhams and Rowan Marshall in the rookie draft. Did I miss anybody? Ratugolea's a part-timer and Abbott & Brooksby have been delisted, but that's still an insane list.

And furthermore on the ruck front that year - Reilly O'Brien and the now delisted Archie Smith and Jason Holmes were rookie upgraded.

Id be close to having English at 2. For a kid i thought was built like a giraffe, he's found a bit of competitor in himself.

McGrath is a good player. But there was no obvious number 1 at the time so it's not surprising that McGrath isn't a dominant player. He's arguably the 2nd best player of the top 10 behind McCluggage so it's not a horrible pick.

And if you'd said to Essendon they would get McGrath, Ridley and Draper from this draft they would've been very happy with that.
